(Yes, another topic about buffing AA, isn’t it great?)
Supposing that plane detection works like in “War Tinder”, enemy plane is marked with red triangle and gets leed indicator at about 0,9-1km.
How about we make it 1,5km or even 2km for AAA?
- It would buff AA a bit (untill damage models are fixed, nothing will help).
- It makes sense that a pilot, that has to fly and look for targets at the same time, won’t find the enemy as quickly as the AA gun crew on the ground that has a designated spotter and a guy making calculations to predict where to aim.
- 2cm Flak 30 (that currently is the only AA we have in game) had effective range of about 4km. As you can imagine it’s a bit more than assumed 1km.
Of course giving it as long range would be stupid with the size of playable area we have now. So 1,5-2km sounds like a good compromise between ballance and realism in my opinion.

Can even keep that 4km range

i also believe that the 2cm Flak 30 fired its guns in pairs, not all four at the same time
this would be a really good buff as it would increase the hit ratio with out changing the damage, ammo or range

Yes, they fired 2 at a time. Also, they had 25 rounds magazines (now we have 10 or something like that).
But I don’t understand what do you mean by increasing the hit ratio.
She meant that instead of firing the 4 guns simultaneously, by firing 2, you would multiply the amount of shots/clicks by 2. Or simply a longer sustained fire using a bit less bullets all at once.
Increasing hit ratio is something completely different than increasing time of sustained fire. But ok, I get it.
will increasing the ROF via increase the SROF thus giving a greater chance to hit a plane per reload
How changing 4 shots to 2 shots at the same time is increasing ROF?
And what is SROF?
Good idea, the range of AA should definitely be increased along with damage. They one shot infantry anyway so that wouldn’t be a concern when increasing damage, the only thing that would make them more annoying for troops on the ground would be increased ammo capacity so increasing range and damage would be better.
instead of getting ten chances of hitting a plane per reload you get 20, think of it as connect the dots, as it is you only have 10 dots but if you get the paired fire its 20 dotsin the same time frame
Assuming that hit chance is statisticall, you have set ammount of % to hit the target. So it doesn’t matter if you fire 10x4 shots or 20x2 as you will always hit about the same % of all those 40 shots.
Of course it works only on a macro scale but you get the point.
