List of all german foreign weapons

So, while I was searching for which foreign weapons that the germans used, I found probably the most complete list of all the foreign weapons and equipment used by the germans during WW2, and it is located on the german wikipedia website, even the english wikipedia article is far from being this complete.

The sections that interest us the most are the D. 50/1 and D. 50/2, but feel free to check out the others too.

Here is the link:

One of the things I would really like to see is the german name for foreign weapons in the german tree in game, and not their “original” name, so that it can show that these weapons were truly used by Germany during WW2.

Important notes:

It seems that the germans did not include the weapons that I suspect began their production when the country was occupied, for example:

The FNAB-43 was indeed used by the germans but production began when they were occupying northern Italy. Even Hugo Schmeisser apparently participated in its conception. The official german designation was MP 43(i).

The ZK-383 probably (?) has a similar story, because a part of Czechoslovakia was invaded by Germany before WW2, and its production only began in 1938, so they probably considered it a “geman” weapon since it was made in a territory that they considered “german” ? Its official german designation was MP 383(t).

On the other hand, for example, the Browning HP made in Belgium was produced before the german invasion, so it is present in this list, and I guess they kept its designation even when the gun was produced for them in Belgium. Its official designation was P. 640(b).

Another thing: in the book I often use as a source, it said that the le MG 122(r) was attributed to the Maxim Kolesnikov machine gun ,while on the website, it says that it is for the Lewis guns captured in Russia.
I think it might be for the Lewis, because: the Maxim Kolesnikov was not adopted by USSR, and only a very small number was produced, so there probably weren’t anymore left, when we know that most of the Maxim Tokarev machine guns, which was adopted by the USSR, were given to republican spanish. And also, this book was published in 2011, so some information could be outdated or missing, because for example some japanese weapons are missing in the section for Japan.

The book in question: Amazon.fr

That’s it, sorry for the wall of text, and enjoy the information.

Don’t you have a “translate” function in your toolbar ? It works pretty well for me (I don’t speak german either). But as I said, the categories that interest us the most are the D. 50/1 and D. 50/2 categories.

I checked your link (Military Wiki), some guns are missing when we compare it with my link: for example, the designations for PPS-43 or Maxim Tokarev are not present in your link, there are very likely more missing, but these are the ones I noticed at the moment.

I see, weird in regard of the PPS43. Hope it still helped somehow.
But I actually struggled to find anything about the MT if the Russians even used it during WW2 (at least based on English sources). I only heard about the MT because HnG used it as Tier 3 Russian MG to begin with, as well as Enlisted.

Yes, I also noticed some uncommon french lmgs were missing in your link too, like the MAS 1922 for example.
Thanks for these links, because it is always a good thing to cross-reference sources.

learned german for 6 years and still dont know it beside few basic sentences.

So, after comparing with the aforementioned list and other articles about specific weapons, here are the foreign weapons present ingame for the german tree that were NEVER actually used by the germans during WW2:

Pistols:
-Beretta M1923

SMGs:
-Armaguerra OG-43
-Beretta Model 1
-Kiraly 39M
-Kiraly 43M
-Orita M1941 (while some sources say that it was used by the Wehrmacht in small quantities, it doesn’t seem to have got an official german designation for foreign weapons in service with the german army, so the quantity must have been very negligible at best)
-OVP
-Suomi KP/-26
-TZ-45
-Wz. 39 Mors
-Revelli-Beretta or Beretta M1918 (I know it is supposed to be a carbine, but it is still a SMG in game)

Bolt-action rifles:
-Carcano M91 sniper
-Carcano M38 sniper (probably a fake anyway)

Semi-auto rifle and carbines:
-Beretta M1918/30
-Breda PG (both versions: Carcano and Costa Rica)
-Pavesi Mod. 1942
-Pavesi Mod. PG
-Scotti Model X
-Wz. 38M Maroszek
-ZH-29 (same story as the Orita)

Light machine guns:
-Lahti-Saloranta LS/26

Flamethrowers:
-Lanciafiamme modello 41 d’assalto

I’ll do the rest later, but there very likely won’t be as much.

Some rules for the foreign weapons to be included in the list are sometimes very weird, especially when these are weapons from Germany’s allies, like Italy, Romania, or Hungary, or from territories that Germany considered part of the Reich, like Austria or Czechoslovakia (especially this one), a fair amount of weapons coming from these countries are not listed in this list, but still have a german designation (like the ZK-383, the FNA-B 43, the CZ vz. 27, etc…).

On the other hand, if these weapons came from a country that was an enemy of Germany, you can be 100% sure that they would be included in the list, because some very rare guns from these countries were included in this list.
