There are a few articles that state Mk1s and Mk2s were used at El Alamein, so it seemed to be a natural fit.
And with the addition of StuG III G and PZ4 F, it would have a sufficient counter.
I know my StuG had zero issues dealing with the Churchill in Normandy.
It absolutely was. Infact it was one of the first tanks to knock out a Tiger by jamming its turret leading to its capture.
Thanks for the picture Norse, I didn’t feel like dragging my books up to the scanner to get the pictures first thing in the morning lol.
Lol I found a few of them on google. I cheated
Lol, I always go to my books first because at times information online can be dubious.
Saved me the trip this time. Now I can have my coffee.
Very true. I dont suppose you have any information on this picture:
Supposedly its the seelow heights so having an MKB 42 by 1945 would be a rare sight. They have a panzerfaust so it is most definitely past 1943 but I have no other evidence except google saying it is
I’ll add it to my list of searching to see what I can find for you, if anything.
In my plethora of a collection I have lots of logistics reports so maybe I can figure out if there were items like that assigned.
Could also be procurement through desperation where ones that were shelved got brought into service.
Hard to say really.
Stg for berlin ?
Why do you insist in making me cry???
um the 82nd managed to capture some panzerfaust in Sicily in 43
I would honestly like a Matilda for Tunisia.
Perhaps I should have been more specific about the Churchill III that’s actually the premium vehicle, which was the gist of my point, but you are correct and I stand corrected.
