I don’t think they will be more likely to give the gold out, since gold is more valuable than sliver.
Also, one is make extra event and discount to let F2P players have the ability to buy slot.
The other is let F2P player to buy slot with their existing sliver.
The former one didn’t cost F2P player much since they get gold for free in the event.
The latter one actually cost F2P player sliver that they spend a lot of time to grind.

some wierd marketing strategies and random steam launch in mid of event show how incompetent there managers are
it has limited playrbase … those who playing this game from start
