I would argue that only the first slot should be purchasable by silver and the rest still should be gold. They still need to get their money but this way you get a taste of what the extra slots feel like.
I’d rather they just lower the price, given some recent updates I’d love to support the devs but $40 is too much for a squad, I’d rather buy them at $10-20 dollars. I’ll gladly put money down for this game during sales.
I still think that the 2 rented slots (the ones you get from premium) should be rentable with silver, but ONLY for a single faction (if you want all: you need to spend more silver … or just fork up the money to get premium). I also had another idea a bit ago where there was a more complex limitation, but its not necessary: Let us buy slot with sliver - #11 by Count_Smarald
Slot 1: Default
Slot 2: Default
Slot 3: Default
Slot 4: Default
Slot 5: Rented - Silver - Per Faction or Premium - All Factions
Slot 6: Rented - Silver - Per Faction or Premium - All Factions
Slot 7: Purchase With Gold - Per Faction
Slot 8: Purchase With Gold - Per Faction
Slot 9: Purchase With Gold - Per Faction
Slot 10: Purchase With Gold - Per Faction
Slot 11: Premium (Should Also Add Either 12th Slot For Event, or Make Slot 11 Allow Event Slots)
No, because you earn silver for free, whilst playing a free to play game.
This is a monetisation mechanism, and it ensures that the game can have new content.
There is already a silver econonomy (now improved) progression through the current tech tree that keeps the F2P crowd competitive.
If you undermine the monetisation of the game, it risks bringing in even weirder mechanics or more pointless weapons/vehicles or more dreadful RNG style rewards from other games in order to fund development.
Just make the silver buyable slot an addition like the premium squad slot.
You could buy it for silver even if you spend gold on slots before, so no harm to premium players, even a bonus for them as this would mean extra slot.
5-slots would still be worse than having premium account and have the ability to endlesly cycle planes/tanks.
Premium players can get another slot for event or any squad they want
Your argument doesn’t make any sense. WT and Warframe let you buy slots for free, in WT that is Gaijin’s game you can buy two for Silver Lions you earn in game and Warframe let you sell stuff and get platinum which you can use to buy slots.

And as you can see slot prices are significantly cheaper in WT than in Enlisted when it comes to buying them with real money, they went too greedy with their prices, same can be said about premiums. And for free currency prices i can say 50k SL in WT is the equivalent of about 4k Silver in Enlisted. So it’s insanely cheap.
This is not WT, and there is a slightly different dynamic in how the game approaches monetisation.
WT started off equally conservatively, and like Enlisted its economy expanded over the years to accomodate the size of the playerbase.
When Enlisted enjoys the size of the playerbase that WT has, I’m sure there will be further and equally significant changes to what is effectively “free” and what is monetised.
Yeah that could work. 20k was the lowest I was willing to go, but thinking back that would be just doing 1 weapon event (aprox. - 12k for tasks + those played games) would get you there so 50k sounds more reasonable to make the effort of saving up for it.
Dude, you still don’t understand. Let’s imagine you are in the desert and are about to die of thirst. Someone offers you a cup of water for 1000$, does that mean that a cup of water is universally worth that much money? No it doesn’t.
It’s the same here. If you are broke they sell you 7k silver for 490 gold. But that does not mean that 490 gold is worth 7k silver.
