If you equip the tools on your soilder and pull them out you get access to a wrench, unfortunately when soilders are holding the wrench they become a pacifist and forget how to swing it.
So I suggest:
•As a silly detail, let players swing the wrench as a melee weapon (a bit like how the shovel has 2 functions).
The asset already exists, and the melee animations are already made so this would require very little effort on the part of the Devs.
Ah yeah i hadn’t taken that into account… maybe if they allowed you to switch its “mode” like how you can do with firing mode but would just be too much effort… wrench being able to swing is more logical for implementing.
Yeah, let’s waste resources on this totally unnecessary meaningless thing. It’s not like the game has hundreds of more important things to implement/fix.
maybe the toolbox can also give a building speed to the engineer as well for small structures like sandbags barbwires ammo creates and rally points or the other way around giving a building speed to the bigger structures like the hedgehog AT cannon HMG and AA guns
