Just a Casual Question for Getting Better. (Tunisia is my Main)

Hey guys recently I’ve been getting absolutely DOMINATED when trying to rush a point (Even tho I know it’s Tunisia and rushing a point should probably be hard in Tunisia) but any time I’m not Barreling forward with a fully kitted out assault squad I seem to have my team decimated or easily picked of by stubborn snipers refusing to retreat.

So I’m wondering what are ways (besides hanging back and feeling the ebb and flow of the battle) to keep from completely dying or improving my chances of being able to get as much as my squad on point and hold (Any info about how to clear point through cheeky methods like a grenade through window or general tips on survivability would be greatly appreciated because those are still parts of the game that I’m really bad at).

A great item to use that is often over looked is smoke. Use smoke grenades or the smoke artillery to cover an advance then use grenades or det packs to clear the point.

Most Maps have their main highways. And more commonly than not people focus completely here and forget the map has many more avenues rarely approached (main highways are straight line from spawn to point, or hugging the edge of the map, this is gamer habit these days). Firstly I encourage you to spend some time taking note of the map. There are some real gems of locations that I rarely ever see anyone use.

Use tools. The best tools in the game are over looked. Radio Smoke is a game changer, And so underused its not funny. I have pushed entire games just from my radio artillery map. Create spawns to open up new fronts, and smoke to cover and encourage and assault.

Line of Sight, All maps have ways to manipulate Line of sight. Intentionally take routes that put obstacles between you and known camping positions, tanks and cap points. You don’t have to engage, just get past them.

Parkour, This is one of the most unique and greatest features of enlisted, The ability to cimb and vault oo anything. This alone creates new unexpected attack angles

First (on attack)
If you are on Attack, your first wave needs to haul ass and assault. The opening minute sets the pace. If you hold back and camp it, the enemy get organized and dig in…it becomes a real grind. Rally point within 60 meters is also key, If you really want to win, this I priority. If you clear a point it is vital that your team can keep up the pressure… If you die before capping, and then have to run all the way back from main spawn, the enemy will be fully reinforced and you will be back to square 1.

Second
If the enemy team blunt your first assault, its highly likely they will again. So stop, look at, where your team mates are attacking, and go scout an open flank, put down a new rally and watch the battle lines shift as a new front opens up. One front is easy to defend, multiple fronts are where its at.

Defence
Set up reinforcements spawns FIRST
ammo second to keep up fighting potential
Then block main traffic routs with tank traps and barbed wire
make use of mines paired with barb wire. Again so underused its not funny.
Be aggressive and counter attack to remove their rally points so they are unable to keep up the pressure.

(Just a side note, ONLY BUILD BARB WIRE AND OBSTICALS ON THE ENEMY SIDE OF THE POINT. too often ive seen engineers fortify every direction. All that does is help the enemy if they get in, and stops allies reinforcing easily)

Clearing buildings. Flame troopers are amazing at this, and again…also way underused. If I really need to bring it to clear a point, flame trooper is my first pick. Other than that, grenades, rifle grenades, smgs, and 75mm HE tanks.

Very cool tip, if you’re defending play more recklessly, there’s no point penalty for dying for the defending team, don’t be afraid to charge your squad into he enemy or fight in your tank till you’re dead, as long as the point isn’t captured of course

Smoke is your friend. And have an engi in every squad. Go prone and build sandbags along the path(s) you want to take. Build one, hide behind that and build the next one. You won’t get sniped and you’ll have created a path that’s safe from gunfire (not shells though, obviously), which will help your whole team stay alive while they try to reach the point.

This. First thing I always do, when defending, is run back from the frontline a bit and pop down a rally.

I don’t know if that might be advice, but I like to be a sneaky shady person who finds himself in the most unconvincing places. From what I’ve noticed from my experience, players don’t try to take advantage of the map that it gives them. There is a lot of satisfaction when you ruin another team’s plans when you pop up just in front of a player who thought he would quietly build a rally point or something. That “wtf” effect is the best tactic. Flanking, and all kind of diversions. You’ll usually be about 4 or fifth after the battle, but with the best tactics or the best engineer badge, and victory for the team.

If the match is hopeless, either smoke, or grab your shovel and dig a deep trench to the cap to give your allies cover.

Smoke arty, rally points and map knowlegde. Use all 3 well and you should have no problems.

Don’t worry too much about dying. It just lets you cycle to a squad that might be more needed at that point, such as an assault squad that needs to roll in and take over the point. As others said, smoke is your friend, but there are certain maps, or their segments that you will simply have to tough out.
