Assault rifle for Japan itself is extremely hard to imagine. I will wait and see what darkflow does.

There is one gun that could fill an assault rifle slot for Japan, the Model 2 SMG chambered for the 6.5x30mm Type 95 experimental cartridge, which is roughly similar to .30 carbine in performance.
Personally I dislike the idea of this being made into a paratrooper gun tho, I’d much rather have the Type 100 SMG in its folding stock config (and please with the correct rate of fire), or alternatively if they just have to make them “BR5 viable” another aircraft MG ground conversion like the Te-4 would fit (looking at the British paras with their Vickers-K which is similar in performance).

Yes, i believe it was customization.
New parachute etc. I really don’t remember what exactly tho, I just know someone shared it here on forum back then…

unfortunately, there are no new cosmetic for the japanese. much less paras ones.
at least, that i’m aware / being present with our current version.

Ofc, it could be added sooner than with last update. I was saying “new” from perspective of player who’s only engaged in classic game and not editor.

because now that you mention it,
the only recent cosmetics added for paras, were italian ones:
because as far as i know, the japanese uses " snif " tunics:
- attachable_wear_snif_tunic_yellow_w_parachute_item
- attachable_wear_snif_tunic_w_parachute_item
- attachable_wear_snif_tunic_gray_w_parachute_item
- attachable_wear_snif_tunic_dgreen_w_parachute_item
which has been there from quite a long time.

That’s just stupid that we got cosmetics instead of them actually addressing the box or their weapon or the BR for that squad

There should be at least one para squad per faction that functions like the soviet 10th airborne brigade or make ALL para squads function that way. I want my Italians to be usable again…
The OG-43 should be dropped a br or 2

Japan should get another Paratrooper squad especially if they don’t plan on adding paratroopers through the tech tree.
Regarding their primary weapons, I would prefer they get the same option as the Soviet ones where you can choose any weapon you want.
