I don’t see the point of doing this? At least BFW Jagdpanther is a real variant that have less ammo. What is the point of artificially decrease the ammo in a magazine just to create a new variant?

you can call it as type 100 paratrooper smg with extreme unluck of bad magazine springs that can only hold 29 rounds properly.
Preferably that would be the name.
Using your logic I can say the OP’s paratrooper squad have extreme unluck that they didn’t get any paratrooper smg due to limited production number.

But what ever if that makes the “differency” for you, fine.
I propose adding bipod to current premium squad, which would be a straight upgrade (bipods decrease recoil even more when you mount it compared to guns without one, or so I have been told).
Then new paratroopers can have the more compact version without the bipod, I think this difference makes the most sense (less bulk being naturally good for paratroopers).
So, current squad recieves a slight buff, and the paratrooper SMG would finally be available for its intended role.

Yeah, I’m fine with either, I just think this would be the best outcome overall and the one that makes the most sense.
I also want to establish the precedent of “you can change premium squads, so long as you just buff them and nothing else”, because there are vehicles for the British I dearly want to see in the tech tree that are currently Premium/Event vehicles. Such as the Firefly, which I would move to the tech tree and then replace the premium one with a Firefly equiped with two RP-3 Rockets (unique cammo remains for current premium owners, as a “unique legacy reward” you can’t otherwise get).
Well I doubt that the best we can hope is Comet in the TT.
