It’s not AFKing. It’s very unlikely he would get killed so many times while being in his greyzone. He would get kicked out much sooner.
And the made up correlation between being AFK for whatever reason and desertion penalty without any evidence to back it up is obviously only targeted attack against validity of desertion penalty.

I called out that kind of behavior pathetic, not him specifically.
He could have rubberbanded the controller. So he would frontally charge at the enemy without doing anything. Being afk is fully possible here (based only on the image).
But I checked the replay and (at least before the game crashed after 3min) he in deed wasn’t afking. Points for you here.
You say it’s made up connection. But that’s exactly what I sometimes do.
When the match is a steamroll I build AA gun and basically go afk (I guess you can argue it’s technically not being AFK according to the definition 
) or look at the respawn screen in completely hopeless cases. Desertion penalty is not the reason to do it, but it certainly increases the incentive.
That’s why I suggested it. Because imo dessertion penalty will make such behaviors more common. So obviously I applied it when I saw something that I thought did fit my prediction. Just like any other flawed human would do. You’ve labeled my stupidity as deliberately being evil and manipulative.
Pointing out errors is not insulting. Accusing of manipulation and saying being wrong is pathetic, are.
This would definitely end all speculation. 
It’s cant be (only) AFK coz he died 7 times.
Replay: it’s a new/young/inexperienced player just taking it easy on a conquest map, walking towards the points and getting killed there.
He was active like this the whole battle, at least he was on the capture points more than others sometimes are…he just forgot to kill the enemy.
