People say itā€™s damage is bugged as hell. I think it will be playable only when devs fix both AP and HE. Tiger (p) might be managed even by early is-2 soā€¦

IS2-1944 is better, the only problem is that it takes a long time to reload
The IS2-1944ā€™s protection can protect it very well, and it will be more difficult for the King Tiger tank to target you.
However, it still has weaknesses. The lower part of the armor is the most vulnerable. Even the Panther tank can easily penetrate it, and the turret cannot withstand the fire of the 88mm tank gun.
Overall, it is much easier to use than the previous model, the IS2

Better reload actually rules a lot, since Germans have laughably better AP and pretty similar HE. KT has only one point guaranteed for piercing- itā€™s turret while IS-2 has also LFP unprotected. Overall they are both useless if teams are filled with aviation and panzerhunters or just fresh meat which caps fast

I used to drive this tank alot in War Thunder and even grinded an ace crew for it back then. The major improvement is the better front hull than the predecessor alongside the 12.7mm DShK on the commanderā€™s cupola that can be used against infantry and aircraft.

Even the experience of tank battles with the IS-2 is the same as War Thunder with some Malzi BRUH moments for not penning a Panzer IV or a Panther with 122mm.

Actually i almost didnā€™t catch non-pens before update, probably due to ā€œlolometric shellsā€ inexistence.

How does a 75mm shell pass through the lower part of the car body? The new car body in 1944 did not have this problem

It only has track armor, thatā€™s all. Lower plate got destroyed at close distances like in game

Nothing differnet than the regular IS-2. That so called armour improvment? I donā€™t feel it. Long 88 can pen IS-2 1944 at any range at any spot - turret, lower plate you get the picture. Meanwhile 122 will struggle against H version especially at long ranges. Plus the rld, yeah. The problem is this is the only tank for the H version so will have to use it cuz T-34-85 canā€™t do anything about it.

The maps in Berlin donā€™t allow flanking in tanks much with no room to flank especially the ones that came from the Armored Train maps unlike War Thunder where many maps have room to flank and can sneak an 85mm APHE on the side turret or side hull of the Tiger II(H).

Maps like La Parelle have the possibility to flank in a tank and I even use paratroopers to hunt enemy tanks sometimes in an unexpected spot.
