Is there anyway to modify and/or reverse the right-click functionality of the mouse for the iron sights?
For instance a quick tap of the right mouse button results in iron sights normal view. But if you want the zoomed perspective you must hold the right mouse button down. Is there anyway to reverse this functionality so that the quick tap right mouse button input results in the zoomed iron sights view?
I attempted to modify the controls in settings but it screwed everything up, and even when restoring the controls to their “default” settings manually, it still wouldn’t work. The only way to return to truly “default” right mouse button functionality was to revert all of the controls back to default automatically with the in-game button for default controls.
Yes and no. I don’t want to modify any parameters, but simply make the “quick click” function result in the zoomed view, which is normally achieved by HOLDING right click.
I don’t see any problem the quick click activates the pre-fire, the continuous pressure activates the zoom you should learn to use both help a lot with smg and semi-auto with a lot of recoil
And then f***s you over when using a sniper scope and leaves you staring at the back of the scopes mount. TBH I just disabled fast click view entirely by removing the bind, then again I am a right click hold for ADS player.
This is because both the K98 and the Mosin Nagant are still able to use their iron sights when a scope is mounted. This does NOT apply to the Springfield 1903, however. So when you have a scope mounted to the Springfield 1903, it still lets you attempt to use the iron sights - even though they are obscured. I believe that is what you are seeing there when starting at the back of the scope mount.
In the modern era, being able to still use the stock iron sights while simultaneously having some sort of an optic attached is called “backup iron sights” or “BUIS” for short.
I thought that was most likely the idea, for other rifles that still have the iron sites under the scope mount, yes you are correct that I’ve mainly been playing Normandy Allies so I’m seeing this behaviour on springfeilds.
There is the ability to define a command for “short click” and “long click (hold)” in controller keybindings. However I do not think this works correctly at all. I attempted to reverse the 2 for long and short right click and it didn’t work properly.
That’s all I’d want to do - basically reverse the key config for right click.
I understand some players are happy with it the way it is but that’s the goodness about customizable key bindings. For instance I have my melee set to F key whereas by default it is middle mouse button. To each his own?
