I really don’t agree that Enlisted becomes a competitive game… I think a mode like this would only worsen the balance in the games, if the matchmaking is already bad, I can’t even imagine having a ranking system. I would divide the player base even more by people who play this game as if it were a call of duty and by people who simply play a game for fun or to pass the time.
Ha aint good for competiveness. Otherwise everyone will just pick american/ussr because they get garands, thompsons, shermans, kv 1s, t34s and ppsh 41s while germany/japan will have to fight with mostly bolties and shitty tanks
Yes,
But they should not be updated and displayed, not even to the player themselves. it should be a soft scoring system so that matches can be sorted based on skill. So everyone always has oponents roughly on their level.
It should not be displayed, because it atracts the wrong kind of player. Then everything will become about the score, which brings out the worst in players.
When combined with the BR system, balance matches might become more common.
But muh wehrmact! Best European military! Would’ve won with more Panther’s and V2’s! Or whatever those people say
Frick just say MG 42 better than BAR and give em some Pz IV’s, V’s, and VI’s and they should be fine
Except that shit like Tiger I or long-barrel Panzer IV wouldnt exist until 1942 “segment”, Jesus Christ.
Do you even know basic stuff about non-America stuff?
If DF really cared and wanted to create a HA event/game mode, it wouldn’t be too difficult to experiment with premade squads balanced by overall combined firepower, something like this:
And yes I’m talking not competitive, but historical game mode/event here.
Oh! Oh! Tiger’s in Tunisia. There ya go. Problem solved
Germany got so far ahead mostly by things unquantifiable in the game, that is tactics and doctrine (plus catching everyone with their pants down and kicking them in the balls), but in the hard factors, they only got the MG 34 as their big advantage in the ground, and the application of 3-man turrets with radios everywhere.
I dont think panther or mg 42 can save it.
For an example here would be historically accurate moscow setup:
Germany:
Assaulter: br 2 mp 40/mp 38
Rifleman: br 1-2 k98k
Mg gunner: br 3-4 mg 34
At gunner: br 1 pzb 39
Tanks: br 1-2 pz 2c, pz 3e, pz3j, pz 4 short barrel
Ussr:
Assaulter: br 5 ppd 40-ppsh 41
Rifleman: br 1-2 mosin + svt 38/ svt 40
Mg gunner: br 3 dp 27
At gunner: br 1-2 ptrd/ptrs
Tanks: br 1-4 t60, t26, bt7, kv 1, t34 76, kv 2
Ussr would have nearly unkillable tanks, br 5 smgs, semi auto rifles, and semi auto at rifles while germany would have crappy light tanks and br 2 small arms. And thats just moscow
Germany does have good rifles they just need grinded for the first ts the VG-1-5 and the next is the Gewher 41 then the 43 and the Panzer IV is good tank and the Tiger Tanks. I also think the firearms like the MP-40 and the MG-42 are really good guns along withthe Stg.44 is a really good gun also.
He’s talking about the Historical Accuracy matches, where Germany is low-key fucked until mid-late battles.
But those aint gonna work in early war maps if we make it ha. Also japan is even more horrifying. Literally 99% of their guns would be arisakas with occasional type 100 smg or type 99 lmg. Their tanks would only be ha-go and ch-ha while usa would rape them with shermans, thompsons and garands
The purpose of ranking is to reduce the poisoning of normal people by parasites and suicide infantry
That’s why we need competency classification
As I mentioned before
High class vs. casual
Each holds 2 rooms
1-3 3-5
The high-level room has a strict penalty mechanism and reward multiplier
Something we also did once we got the Sherman rolling out. Probably because of how effective it was for the Germans
America also suffers in video games though. They never let us overwhelm the enemy with infinite numbers of everything. Lol. Logistics, manufacturing, and reliability. Doesn’t translate well to a video game sadly, so the poor Sherman gets raped by a bunch of Tiger II’s
Still interesting to think about regardless
Well that just sounds like an incentive to bring a plane to me, and considering this would be a “competitive” mode I’m sure someone would and would be capable of using it. Unlike the garbage teammates most of us get now
And Germany should’ve figured out how to mass produce semi auto’s before invading. Don’t know what else to tell ya. Lol
The thing with German semi-autos is that it wasn’t that they couldn’t produce them, it’s that they had completely no interest in them in the first place until mid-40 when they saw that everyone else of importance started to introduce them mass scale (USSR and US that is), and they still placed unreasonable requirements on the design (which resulted in G41(M), Walther mostly ignored them and made infinitely ‘better’ gun (both were very mid)).
They really placed everything around the MG, so a fast firing infantry weapons were not really considered, until suddenly you can’t utilize the MG effectively, and you’re stuck with a boltie in a tight spot.
It’s just typical failure of high brass to understand moar bullet down range = gud
I can imagine the top ranking will become the world of toxic gameplay.
With GL rifleman squads, vehicle spamming, tossing WP and impact all day long if those haven’t been nerf.
Great logic
- Sherman vs Tiger
- STG vs M1 Garand
- Panzer III J vs KV2
- MG42 vs Bren
Yep! Welcome to the thunder dome
