I was very tempted too because the Mas-38 is a highly desirable weapon (It really should be in the tech tree and so the Japanese semi auto rifle too since Japan BR3 lacks content) but I decided to resists and just play the WW1 event in WT and other games in my free time, can’t blame you buying the BP tho and I admire your patience to go through such a slog of a event

Now that you mentioned this it makes believe DF/Gaijin strategy with this game is essentially a derivative version of the price skimming tactic I’ve seen in sales.
Basically you toss something so unreasonable to the customer such as a ridicolously high price so they outright refuse to accept such price so you then offer the real price but shown as “compensation”, “discount” or “reasonable adjustment/new offering” so they are far more inclined to accept it and have a chance to get some good PR out of it as someone that “listens” to their customers despite the “discounted price” being the actual real price, this is usually done in cases the original price would be unpopular so providing an even worse offer will make the original real offer more desirable in comparison.
Just adapt this strategy with the events and how time and time again they try to mess with the players with awful design of events and changes to the game then they backtrack just a little bit and get some PR points but they have used this move SO MANY TIMES it’s getting to the point this tactic is no longer working anymore as players just move on to another game and those who remain become more and more jaded against the broken promises from the devs and seeing yet another round of the same tactic

The trench clubs are honestly one of my favorite things so far, I love melee charging and they sprint boost nearly as fast as a sword. I gave them to my other 4 guerrillas (leader has a sword) and now they’re pretty much a trench raider squad

Once you take first place and end up with a silly portrait, it no longer matters whether you get first or end up in last place. It just turns into a chore of collecting boxes and progressing through the battle pass. In fact, it almost feels like I’m hindering less skilled players from taking first place

Next time when doing a gun game I have a few tips to make it better.
First is never put a pistol for the first because it will desequilibrate the chance of someone who join a little later than the others to get kills so pistols are better at the end.
Second, assure to give perks to the soldiers so they have enough mobility for traversing the map so with the map that you provide for this event a climb perk and run speed would have been essential so we are not always get kill when climbing through a window+ a stamina regen will be great to prevent keeping issue when player always drain all their stamina bar when they have a default stamina.
Third, for the health, it better to never give a medkit and to just put a regeneration perk so no one have to depand on input that slow you down.
Fourth, try to avoid gun that cause lag as for example the moon gun for this event because it not fun when someone shoot it and all the people in the match start lagging just because there to much projectile in one place.
Fifth, if you included slow firing and reloading gun make sure to put perks to negate a little their downside or will just make the mod annoying to play and encourage camping because the expantancy to live is half by the reload time of a mg or the slow fire rate of a bolty.
Finally, this event would have been better if the tips mention above would have been implemented since the start the start of the event and as a modder I appreciate the addition of throwable weapon.

And don’t give anyone a brazooka as it slows down the gameplay and is a pain to use as the projectiles still get caught on things and are still inconsistent to kill infantry with.

We are on April Fool’s Day, not Fool’s Day, and the activity you put out is just bad, the activity of the game itself has been very low, and some of the crappy weapons in the game are completely disgusting to the player.

Can you add a 150% sprint coefficient to the axe and machete? Right now, it’s just an ordinary 100-silver-coin axe that can’t be thrown and has no other attributes.
