I'm done with defensive battles

you missed the whole point with timing and offense/defense flow.
if he claims to lose almost every game, and i win almost every game doing exactly whats shown in the video, the answer is clear, that he does not do whats depicted there.
its funny how people who need help the most and get it for free dont even want to improve and instead rather keep on whining

best place to defend a point is between that point and the enemy spawn. If you are anywhere else, you are probably getting distracted or getting owned.

yes yes, but where in this suggestion I build the maginot line ??

I build rally points between the objective and the enemy spawn, I can easily determine if an enemy is flanking

If number of enemies suddenly dwindled between their spawn and the objective, they must be spawning else where, try to anticipate where that rally is and boom, they back to spawn
If they still keep spawning, chances are no rallies are present

I’ve done this method tons of times, and I can always say it works out for me

This method leads to a lot of my loss matches, players hang way way back, trying to reinforce and anticipate something that they’re not even 100% sure of, and boom no matter how much kills and enemy squads I denied from reinforcing, the objective is lost because private-I-must-build-barbedwires-and-sandbags cannot get dopamine cause his constructions aren’t beneficial and must defend the point historical accurately with his 1 star bolt action and a KD stat of 5 kills and 1 deaths 20 minutes in the match

Funny that Paratrooper can cut that match time in half if people drop one or 2 of them right after the previous cap is taken

Tbf I use shotgun with pistols and nothing stop me from racking kills, but I don’t think getting kill is the point is it?

Thats pretty expected behaviour by now. Or at least should be. Im Always expecting it.

Anyone doing that in my games goes straight back to spawn screen.

If people are dumb enough the paras can takeout the half the cap before the defenders can reach it

If I see people using that tactic, I die on purpose and spawn in the cap waiting them with my flamethrower, that’s faster than running back to the new cap

Contrary to the people that are hating on your post, I’m right there with you. Trying to play defense is rarely a good time. I’ve made TONS of suggestions for improvements, but go figure, its the same people heckling you that do everything they can to bury the suggestions.

Reality is that the ONLY way you are going to be able to hold as a defender is by getting numerous rally points down, and having at least one if not two people falling back an objective or two to set up adequate defenses. The biggest problem with this though is that it only really works on guaranteed objective locations. Otherwise, if its a set of objectives that it could go to one of two locations, it will ALWAYS go to the one that doesn’t have fortifications. (Pretty sure at this point this is done on purpose.)

They REALLY need to show where all objective locations are going to be for defenders on the map. This way adequate fortifications can be made.

If you are fighting ON the objective as a defender, you are likely going to lose the fight. If you can set up fortifications to keep the fight OUTSIDE of the objective, while shooting from WITHIN the objective, is when you have the best chance.

Unfortunately, the fortifications are currently too weak to hold up against much fire, so at least one player will be spending all his time running around trying to keep everyone else protected and supplied.

In reality, it takes teamwork to effectively play offense. Only with a group are you even going to have a chance.

I can relatively safely say that ive won more defensive games without a single sandbag fortnite castle than ive won due to them.

So no, you dont need any maginotline attempts.

Did u bother doing any fortifying with engineers?

By the time you build your third fortification I will have a rally point set up on a flank, ap mines placed on the defenders entrance, some grenades thrown from the security of your fortifications to kill the defenders inside and my squad capturing it

Forget this fortifying shit, place AP mines when you want a entrance to be negated to a enemy, stop getting distracted building castles that only give cover to the attacker and focus from where the enemy is coming from, send artillery on that position and if your team is defending the objective go harassing the enemy before it gets to you, mine their rally points.

Overly dedicated engineers are a hindrance, building castles that fucks their bots bunching up on the objective while giving the attacker plenty of cover to shoot and throw grenades inside the point while getting freeway from their rally point to the objective because no one can safely harass the attacker and get back to safety due to the barbed wire on the entrances.

You pretty much have made the argument that engineers are only good for rally points and weapons installations

Yes, spawn, select engineer, build rally point, place AP mine protecting rally point, go to the objective, build ammo crate, pass for other soldier. Come back to engineer if more ammo crate is necessary or if a engineer squad build AA or AT Gun.

Forget barbed wire, forget czech hedgehog, use sandbags cautiously, they can not only reveal your rally point but can conceal a enemy too.

Unless you have a Stalingrad engineer, in that case it can assault positions too.

Well, I’ll admit that I used to be one of those fortress builders. I still tend to over-engineer a bit. I had to learn the hard way that you can waste time building too much stuff

Protecting destruction points is the best use of engineer structures and the enemy still gets through routinely

When the AA guns could still aim on infantry some guys would build it inside the objective towards the door, lost the count of how many objectives my team lost because the enemy captured it and used on my team.

There’s the classic sandbag in the middle of nowhere, 90% chance there’s a rally point behind that, take a MG guy or build the MG nest and farm them, easier when isn’t just a sandbag but 2-3 sandbags encircling the entire thing so the bots get stuck for a few seconds until they jump, easy farm.

There’s the window sandbag guy, that makes sure that a entire flank of the objective is free path to the attackers as no one can shoot out of windows at that direction.

There’s the barbed wire guy, nothing a detonation pack don’t resolve, certainly annoying to the attacker but also double edged as it hamper the defenders capability of defending advanced and coming back to safety, so it’s easier to get encircled as the attackers will be able to push more closely than if someone was doing some skirmishing on he outside.

I do today what I did back them, if someone fills the objective with stuff everywhere getting my bots pathfinding broken and being a nuisance to my movement while defending the objective I will just spawn a plane or tank and let the objectives fall.

i got to Lt in the game so far - but this no co op in the game theirs no comms either txt is a waste of time and now the other side ha non stop waves of bombers and flame throwers by the dozen to me its a pointless game as ya getting annihilated the japs have at guns which do nowt to shermans the jap tanks are use ess and the sea plane is laughable theirs no defense weapons at all so compare to the europaen threate no point playing the pacific campaign if your squads are bombed n flamed off the map so ill prob lonely europe the Americans are overpowering the rest in pacific
