It needs to be uptiered to BR II, foldered with and given the same stats as pre-war Kar98k so the only differences between them is just the hooded vs. non-hooded front sight.
For those who said there’s a different build quality between Kar98k and pre-war Kar98k I don’t think that argument hold any weight because we literally have Kar98k kriegsmodell which will be the representation of late war Kar98k evolution
except it does actually has weight due to the logic behind it.
if you disregard it, that’s actually different. but the same goes for anything i suppose.
FYI:
the pre war kar 98k being the actual high production kar 98k
which was then simplied to the default kar 98k for vaste production,
and then " degrated " for even quick and easier production at the latter stages during the conditions.

and as far as it goes for the game,
they are fine where they are.
Pre war Kar 98k- built very good because they can afford to build more expensive guns because no war.
Standard kar 98k- wartime model, ok can’t afford to give everyone extremely well built rifles cheaper to produce slightly worse rifles
Kar98k kreigsmodel- crap this war is expensive, make gun really cheap as last ditch effort to protect Germany.
I hope this cleared it up, there are differences in construction and build quality.
The stock of the pre war 98k appears to be cut from walnut wood, and the craftsmanship is quite exquisite. The ordinary 98k, produced during wartime with high demand and limited resources, uses relatively inferior materials. The same thing happened to the MP43/1 and STG44. The metal parts of the MP43 were all baked blue, while the STG in the game can be seen from the inscriptions on the model that the gun is a 1945 version. Compared to the MP43/1, the craftsmanship has dropped sharply, and the color of the whole body has become inconsistent. The reinforcing ribs of the magazine well are also missing.
