Ideas to save the Stalingrad Campaign

Is not a bargain is

I have introduced people to Stalingrad who are f2p and they have loved the different dynamics and sight lines, even the massive bombardments… it just needs some new areas and the fact that you see them in editor / files, they will be coming patience is all we need to have, I know it’s difficult for some

I’ll admit I am one of them haha . When Battle pass ends it will be very cold on the Volga again, ripe time to defend the factory

Glad to be mentioned here

So to the first point of your post, if i am not mistaken, i think there was a small leak of an different map for stalingrad (based on the industrial area probably?)
grafik
I really hope it will be a fully snow covered map since not even moscow feels like cold winter in enlisted sadly

I agree with all of your other points as well but i can almost bet that they will not randomly remove the paywall. The only hope we can have is that it will become free to play maybe one year later, so those who paid did not pay for the campaign, they paid for the one year earlier access.

My addition would be:

  1. Rework the current stalingrad map. The trees are having a way to bright red color. I know autumn trees can look like that, but that makes stalingrad look like an tourist attraction rather than a cruel war. So: make the trees less colourfull or at least not bright red or orange.

  2. The entire atmosphere should be more depressing. Everything is way to bright, guns are clean without any damages. The clothes are always clean, no matter what you do or choose in the customization menu.

As a huge fan of stalingrad in real life and other games, i must say this campaign really disappointed me…

I thought some of the soldier cosmetics for both sides looked quite nice. what did you think of them? Such as furry hats lol

Battlefield 5 died after doing ā€œtoo niceā€ cosmetics

That’s a War Thunder Stalingrad winter map.

I have the same issue with these two soldiers here too

Hopefully this will be fixed soon.

I don’t recall WT having any other Stalingrad map (outside of Stalingrad for airplanes, obviously).

Save this game from stalingrad

Just needs new maps

Maps and campaign unlocks. Maybe another KV model and German Tank to keep it feeling a bit unique? I think this campaign would be perfect for a civilian partisan squad as well.

unlock the locked content.
and give 20 gold orders to those who bought it.

make new maps too.

As a… free to play person, I have to say that Stalingrad and Pacific are my least favorite campaigns, as bunch of the content is locked, plus, the soldiers there can not reach their full potential (4 stars are shown in blue, for all the troops, weapon upgrades are also locked).
Basically, I feel at a severe disadvantage compared to other folks.

A bit of question though - we have a weapon transfer feature, and there are weapons that can be used in other campaigns. Since full weapon upgrades are locked, can I bypass this limitation by transferring equipment (like, MP 28s + MG13s from Moscow)? Will they retain their fully upgraded status and be usable?

As for complaints regarding premium equipment and stuff - I don’t really see much of the issue here (except a few cases, where a premium equipment in 1 campaign is freely achievable in another, example being Gewehr 41 in Normandy (premium) and Moscow (Non-premium), I’d like the option to transfer the weapons, please).

But anyway, back to Stalingrad…
I guess I’d like to see some equipment/troops from minor axis members (Hungary, Bulgaria, Rumania, Finland(Can be left for Leningrad), Soviets could get Lend-leased stuff as a counter, plus getting that transfer feature useful for ā€œalliesā€ here at last)? But frankly, there are more pressing issues regarding bug fixes, A.I. and other quality of life improvements.

Aside from continuing to make community requested bug fixes and optimization, I definitely want a Leningrad campaign featuring the Finns VS Leningrad resistance; soldiers AND civilian partisan units. You could essentially have two new factions on both sides, granted a lot of weapons would already be in the other campaigns, but the squads themselves would be different and could feature unique perks
