The Breda Model 30 should not be able to reload until it’s empty unless you want to reload one round at a time. I think this should able to compensate for it’s really low recoil, but maybe add a little bit more recoil.
As for the FG 42 it should become a gunner weapon. Pretty much the same purpose of the Breda as a low recoil, low mag size LMG. Although since it has a detachable box mag it should have a bit more recoil than the Breda.

Not unlocked the FG-42 yet, but what your suggesting would be a buff to the Brenda I think. The current system gives you a set number of magazines so if you partially empty one and reload the partial magazine persists. So you can find yourself in a situation where you have 3-4 magazines with only 5 bullets or so in each, so the ability to combine those into a single full magazine would be pretty powerful I think. Though thats just my opinion on the matter.
Regardless I don’t think it wouldn’t really change too much, as more often than not I see engineers attached to MG squads for the sole purpose of building ammo crates so the gunners can empty their mags and then pick up fresh ones rather than reloading.
I wouldn’t change anything until we finally get LMG rework (if we get it at all).
Now LMGs are basically automatic rifles (like BAR is) instead of “being themselves”. It has to change.
the mod 30 is good? I haven’t been paying attention to it.
You would think the worst MG of WWII would be trash.
It is pretty good, i really like it, and if you tap with it, it can be really strong and you can kill lot of enemies this way.
As this is a game you don’t have jamming problem here, at least yet, soo thats why its not trash.
Its the second worst mg in Normandy behind the Bren. And the only reason the Bren is worse is its terrible sights and visibility
I think that the non empty reload would take to long to the point where it isn’t worth it to reload round by round. or you could make it reload via stripper clips only

Well, Breda Mod 30 is worst LMG ever created and even in a game its just utter junk! Should not even be in normandy it was never used germans outside Italy and even there in really small numbers!
I can’t agree, i really like it in game, for me it is good gun.
But yeah, shoudnt be in Normandy, but imo it wont stay there, imo it is for testing for Tunis, but we will se in future.
If you want to nerf Breda Model 30, you have to nerf Bren, for the same reason, all MGs at the same time. That’s fair. Otherwise it’s a nonsense.
I’m an axis main so I couldn’t really say anything about allied balance. I just feel like the breda and fg42 are a bit op in there current state
Then Bren, Bar, DPT are all way to OP… You are the first one, I believe, who thinks Breda, such a garbage compared with Bren and Bar, is OP.
As I’ve said I can’t say anything about allied weapons. I think the breda is a bit op, key word, a bit. Since it’s almost a laser pointer and can be reloaded super quickly. By just making it so it can’t be reloaded with a non empty mag or you have to load it one round at a time with a non empty mag would in my opinion fix this issue. Once again I’m not an expert about allied weapons so if they act like laser pointers like the breda then they should receive recoil nerfs
It’s just a little bit impetuous to say a weapon is OP before you tried more. If you think Breda is OP, then MG 34/42, FG 42 II, and Bar would give u a complete shock.
