it obviously doesn’t but wearing a green armor vest on snow maps makes it pretty easy to spot over a white camo at any distance also you can’t mark infantry so having a good camo setup for your squad would make it harder to detect you if youre moving around

allies have good air support in all brs Germany has good vehicles throughout all brs Japan has good infantry movements with their low rally points and unlimited swords and for USSR they have good armor and broken smgs. if I had to change anything for each nation for allies it would be less HE shells in all tanks for Germany moving some if not most planes down a br for Japan fix their plane issue and for USSR fix the smg issues
except p47 and meteor, they are mostly equal with other nations
except KT(H) it is mostly equal with other nations(except japan which are usually shit)
so low rally points? really? also swords just have slight range advantage over axes. imagine 5-10% melee range vs 10% reduction in ALL damage
I get what you’re saying, but camo is just a texture, it doesn’t alter stats or have a hidden detection mechanic, and in Enlisted it’s inconsistent at best because AI totally ignore it, and human spotting is mostly about movement (camo doesn’t work if you’re not still), cover (how much of you is seen, acomplished by lying down too), background enviornment (grasses and leaves will not help you in a urban setting) and lighting (biggest one, a dark room is your best friend, not a bush). The Soviet breastplate is different because it’s hard-coded into the damage system and gives a flat, guaranteed effect every time, no matter the weapon or incoming direction, which is why it as a clear balance issue while camo isn’t.
all true but removing it isn’t the way to go it should have positives and negative attributes a movement penalty should be applied as well making it harder for people to push points with armor and having a slower aim speed or it can be limited to assaulters IV squad or if they do add assaulter engineers it can be limited to them
If bodyarmour should exist with effects, it should be a backpack slot item with appropriate effects, positive and negative, because cosmetics should not apply any mechanical effects on gameplay.
This also is without bringing up that a flat damage reduction, from all incoming directions (including areas not covered by the breastplate), against all weapons, is frankly insane, and bodyarmour saving soldiers from rifle-fire is obvious nonsense too. Appropriate effects, and based on soldier loadout (as with everything else), it’s all I ask for.

AR that can barely hit anything as it’s extremely inaccurate despite slow firing, and helmet that is not as impactful as body armor that protects half of the body
They should be slower all around the board, slower mov speed, slower reload, slower ADS and slightly slower turn rate.
They are not equal they are completely overpowered and superior over all German planes at BR5
After removal of PZ3N they suck at BR2, and BR3 is also a sad joke vs Soviets. Sherman post buff is better than all Panzers.
Are we going to pretend like Soviets have bad planes? They are vastly more powerful than whatever Germany has at BR1, 2, 3 and 5.
Not anymore unless you are a veteran. BR1 Soviets have superior T-70, Soviets at BR2 now have T28 + T28E + F-32 they completely wreck Germany at BR2, add overpowered smgs, great planes, body armors, best boltie and semis and you have most op nation at BR2. At BR3 they are much stronger than Germany with KV-1 and T-34 only at BR4-5 they finally suffer.
Japan has superior smgs to Germany and also better rifles at low br. They now have better planes at BR5 too. And Ho-ri armor is superior to KT. They also have really good smg at BR4.

Meanwhile, the squad with the STG-45… But as compensation, due to the fact that the bonus of the cuirasses was taken away, this squad can be transferred to 4 BR, and the weapon will be very powerful, but the squad will be small in size and have poor stats, which will compensate for the very powerful weapon on 4 BR
I hate body armor in Enlisted - it messes with so many weapons and turns even some rifles from a “1 hit down” into a “2 hit down” not to mention it greatly influences effective damage drop off - which however is a concept that isnt too far fetched from reality even if exaggerated.
That being said - historically speaking Soviets were the first to utilise infantry ballistic body armor on a large scale, so it does fit the faction and a total removal would in my mind be removing something unique from a faction.
There needs to be a way to rework armor in order to make it a fun and useful mechanic with upsides and reasonable downsides - right now its just an OP advantage without any negative effects outside of “maybe” not being able to use a preferred camouflage/uniform.
You can move the Breastplates to the Backpack slot, making them a unique faction item like shock grenades or phosphorus grenades
