Sure it’s not a demo, it’s an insult of players’ intelligence. Also a test of how much they can take away before it starts offsetting the profits hard enough for it to not be worth it. The more time passes, the more it reminds me of Eternal Crusade. Until the end there were people there shrieking that the players have ruined the game by being just too damn picky.
I bet a lot of the people that cry p2w have steam accounts full of the latest games, newest PC parts, but refuse to support the devs of a f2p game
ehh… i used to be on eternal crusade as well.
that game was the definition of pay to win. and incompetency of developers.
in enlisted, we are only repeating some mistakes, but i dunno how you can compare it to EC after all what we have been through.
but it’s a bit earlier to judge a campaign when it’s not even out yet.
we have to see how much different it will be once we can actually compare f2p to those who bought the pack.
maps can be different, and usually, accomadate all types of playstles.
but we’ll see.
the fact remains that calling it demo is still wrong, it is the new way to monetize campaigns as soon as they come out the best way would be limited access, a user who for any reason cannot buy full access, can still enjoy it since limited access gives you more than 60% of the equipment the whole discussion started and continues only because someone just saw that they couldn’t use ppsh41 for free went crazy and screamed at the scam throwing in 1000 other reasons just to give themselves right, I say it and I repeat it the limited access is perfectly enjoyable and functional
We even have cut progression for free players, the same way it was in EC. Except that EC was actually more generous with only 1 class out of 5 being unavailable, instead of 11 levels out of 26. Whatever else that move is, it’s a massive step back from the previous campaigns.
But mostly it’s the way people “defend” the worst things happening to the game while insulting everyone who disagrees that is similar.
except, also campaigns and the other pve stuff were locked behind the campaign.
so it did actually limited you.
same for weapons and certain chests.
so…
and again, i don’t see how you can compare that game to this one. like, EC was more, more smaller.
although, i don’t personally see the problem of locking stuff behind paywall AS LONG THOSE ARE SIDEGRADES.
which it’s my biggest gripe now. and somewhat makes me a bit sad about buying the pack.
the fact that devs are locking meta guns, or actual effective one that are somewhat iconic and stuff, it’s a no no for me.
i agree.
not to make names, but the argument of just " don’t care, because i don’t get affected " it is quite stupid… or i should say a weak one.
free to players are the majority of the playerbase in many free to play.
and we sure do need to keep them.
on the other side though, you don’t really need to play the russian or german army to enjoy stalingrad. you can go in communities games or find a lucky custom game with people, you can still play it.
At the end it feels like we are “discussing” about the way how Df used the word “some”.
Been saying this. As a F2P player, I don’t see an issue with this system. Pre Battlefield V, when I bought a Battlefield game, I got the base game with its maps, vehicles, and weapons. When an expansion came out, I either paid for that expansion or I didn’t. If I didn’t pay for the expansion, I didn’t get access to any of the maps, vehicles, weapons, new mechanics.
Enlisted gives you the base game completely free, and now they are releasing a new campaign with a new monetization. You get all the maps free, you get everything you need to succeed, you get smgs, semi auto rifles, good tanks, good planes/bombers, anti tank rifles, flamethrowers, airstrikes, artillery strikes, engineers. What else do you need to succeed and to compete?
Your statement makes me wonder if you’ve ever played Enlisted、War Thunder. *PZIVF2 - One of the best tanks of Stalingrad, can kill anything with ease(?). Are you kidding ?
Yeah i use PZ4F2 at 5.3 in WT and do better than i do with a tiger. I one shot russian heavy TDs and T34-85s
Its really good, you need 1 good shot to kill something
My thinking is similar to how the battle pass works. Is the battle pass really a “demo”? Not really, since you get benefit and content even for free. This new campaign seems to work similarly in my mind
really opposite of your former remarks
if you are one of those players that does not how to aim for weakspot, then yeah.
because i think @125010088 it’s pretty right on that statement.
You dont even have to aim for weakspots with the F2s 75mm gun. You just click on the tank
i mean, on t34 you kinda have to.
but otherwise pretty much.
A 32 class player in wt?
a what?
No you mostly dont. With a long 50mm on the PZIIIL you do, but on a long 75mm gun PZ4 you can mostly hit it anywhere. It will penetrate it easily.
Its hilarious when in War Thunder at 5.3 BR i take a PZIVF2 and kill T34-85s in 1 shot by barely aiming. And F2 BR is 3.3
i wouldn’t be so certain of it knowing how enlisted tanks works.
