I personally love partisans - Discussion

The same applies to APC squads but it turned out it was quite easy to destroy and camp them. Almost every squad or vehicle could be destroyed by a well placed bomb/mine or grenade.

Well i really like them cuz I hate the plot armor for tanks that we have at the moment you cant even use rocket artillery sadly as much as i wanna buy them i really doubt that they be good they seem a bit useless so I’m split should i buy them or not

“Ukrainian Insurgent Army, Forest brothers, Russian Liberation Army” - Pls not. Too political.

Armia Ludowa/Kraiova is the most political formation darkflow can really add without burning ru and pl communities.

Also, i dont see armia ludowa or kovpak’s army… Or greece/albanian/czech resistance in your post… huh. No leftist resistance at all? Except Italian one (kinda, more like merged).

Oh, i see

Umm, are you serious to suggest adding children into a ww2 shooter and allow people to kill them?

I mean, i understand that you are “historical accuracy nerd” and “like to play Axis”, but can we think about children and videogames content rating system?

The thing is, in games like “Squad” it is possible to intercept supply trucks and lay mines on main roads behind enemy lines - saboteurs work in that specific game because the maps are huge.

If Enlisted maps were much bigger, a real Partisan type of squad could make sense, but right now? The greyzones are already super thin and close to the battlefield.

The only AT mines that one could lay down would be literally inside of the main infantry spawn - because thats where tanks will move along after spawning, but since that won’t be possible I am asking whats the point to begin with?

  • Die to magic det pack
  • Die to TNT
  • Die to molotovs
  • Die to AT mines
  • Die to certain rifle grenades
  • Die to AT cannons
  • Die to bombs
  • Die to rockets
  • Die to plane cannons (especially Soviet 37mm or German 30mm)
  • Die to AT launchers and ATRs
(And all / most of that can be done to grey zone tanks)

The only inconsistent tank with the closest thing to plot armour is the Tiger II(H), and only the Allies have issues with it because they didn’t get Panzerfaust from the Germans and have shitty shells for their tanks, primarily relying on suicide nuke packs and planes to do it.

Acually they can use mines but then they cant equip five per soldier like with TNT.

Metal Gear Solid did it…

Also, the HJ included 18-year-olds, so they could just make young adult faces, though as mentioned before, the HJ itself was not involved in battles but served as a man pool for the Volkssturm, the SS and the Wehrmacht.

Many of these resistance movements are suggestions and you are entitled to your own opinion. I chose some of these because they seemed appropriate for the maps we have currently. I didn’t count many left wing movements because they were controlled by the soviet government (indirectly or directly). The most popular decisions would be Armija Krajowa and the french resistance. Many resistance movements are shrouded in political extremism even today. Many of the split into more different political factions and it’s difficult to distinguish them, not counting them as a whole. The Forest Brothers, UPA and ROA are affiliated at least with nazism although not a small quantity of their members joined because of other reasons (including political). Many of them despised the regime after the great purges and holodomor, also collectivisation of land. Remember that at that time there was a red scare across the world because of bolshevism.

Not encouraging to get very political here. The thing about partisans is that they are armed civilians, who are not fond of their regime (foreign or not) so they start fighting for changes (about independence, politics or something else), when they think that unarmed resistance is pointless which points towards some extremism (even for modest causes). They are very likely to get support from opposition (at a community or country level) which could hypothetically align them with their supporters, even if their goals are different. They have at least two things in common - loyalty towards their causes ( even if different ) and destabilising their current regime. If it sounds complex, it really isn’t.

Soooo?

Oh wait, arent Volkssturm, Hitrel-Youth, Russian Liberation Army were controlled by Germany?
And Army Krajowa, French resistance were controlled (or at least supported) by Allies?

Then what is the reason to exclude Army Ludowa and many other resistances that were supported by USSR?

I will say something scary, but you should exclude french resistance because:

“In august 22, 1944, 1st Soviet Partisan Regiment was created on the territory of France, based on Armenian partisan detachments in the city of Nimes and to a large extent from former legionnaires of the Armenian Legion of the Wehrmacht”

Boooo! Scaaarrryyy soviets cruelly supported that resistance! So unapropriate for history nerds! Exclude! Excluuuude!

Its just so weird that you’ve mentioned Army Krajowa, but not Army Ludowa. Just because one was supported by Allies and other was supported by Soviets. Ukranian Insurgent Army, but not Kovpak’s Army.

While you’ve mentioned that there will be “3 USSR, 3 German/italian, 2 Allied and 2 Japan squads” You’ve suggested:
3 German/Italian (With H-Youth it will be 4), 1 Soviet (I guess, Yugoslav one?), 5 Allied ones and 2 Japanese. Where are 2 more for soviets then? Oh wait, you’ve excluded them because they were affiliated with soviets… So you wont suggest them for soviet partisan squads… in a game… okay…

I don’t think using the Gendarmerie or Gestapo as guerrillas is a good choice. Their area of activity is domestic or occupied areas, not for fighting behind enemy lines.

No, it’s actually worse than nothing. An unnecessary class tailor made for troll needs. They’re introducing greyzone infantry. I really can’t comprehend how anyone can think that’s a good idea, lol.

As I have already said, if DF wanted push spawn camping, they should have remove greyzone for all classes. And not make it an exclusive gameplay feature for only one class.

For me personally, the arrival of this class marks the beginning of the end of Enlisted. I think it’s only going to get worse from now on.
I had some hopes, but not really now. I guess I’ll slowly start looking for a new live service game I could focus on instead.

Maybe space marine 2 is good for you? Unless you hate it of course. But personally I like it.

The tanks I’m talking about are tanks with very strong frontal armor staying in the gray zone spawn camping.

  • Die to magic det pack -nope he is in the gray zone protected by plot armor

  • Die to molotovs nope he is in the gray zone protected by plot armor

  • Die to AT mines - nope he is in the gray zone protected by plot armor

  • Die to certain rifle grenades not a chance frontally is immune

  • Die to bombs yes planes are the only solution

  • Die to rockets nope no rockets can destroy King Tiger
Die to AT launchers and ATRs well good luck frontally from that distance

I really love the devs to add IS - 3 to the game and see the Ge wehraboos experience only then they will understand what the problem is.

Well. Even then, you can still most of the stuff mentioned before.
Excluding for Japan and the Allies, it is a Tiger II and, to some extent, a Panther.

Which is why most people just commit suicide charges in the zones. It depends on maps, of course.
It’s not the best idea, but it’s not like this game is about staying alive anyway. I think Wiegolow had some experience with this tactic, as he wondered why no one spawned tanks that his camping tank would immediately kill or why not many F2P plebs use planes in low and mid-BR matches.

I don’t know. Probably blow it up like the Soviets already blow up the Tiger II.
I also don’t know why anyone should care for the Soviets, for that matter, since they have tanks that don’t have useless AP shells and have a captured launcher that can pen over 180m of armour, while the Allies have, I think, have 102mm of pen at the same BR. And even a 210mm launcher at BRIV, also captured.
Yeah, the Soviets are the ones who suffer, indeed, not like the other nation that faces Germany as well. We need IS3 for balance and childish purposes.

the Panther is not that much of a problem cuz you have Easy 8 , Jumbo 76 that is very similar in performance but doom turtles like Tiger II are made too op do to map design and mechanics there is no way to ambush them that’s why Hellcat is not played cuz really the maps don’t allow this tank to be good also Japanese Ho-Ri or Jagdpanther is the same like the King Tiger it can really stay in the gray zone and be immortal… So considering in the future they will prob add more doom turtles this type of tanks definitely must be nerfed cuz they really take 0 skill to play or the maps can be improved and such doom turtle gameplay to have counter.

Well the IS -3 we dont really need but i will love to have just to make the GE experience same problems of immortal doom turtles to realize there is really problem with this type of tanks in the game …
