It might be a skill issue™ but I find it sort of difficult to deal with Q/E dropshot spam and corner campers(sometimes the visibility is really poor) it usually ends up with a Matrix style battle where all my bullets miss and my squad gets pummeled. I’ve noticed that for some reason even though I get visual feedback that i’ve landed a hit i.e. bloodspatter my bullets somehow despawn?
This is a problem of all campaigns we have fog ever in the pants
nah, it’s all good.
don’t take enlisted too much seriously.
it’s meant to be a casual game
take it as such.
( and it definitely act like one ).
due to the poor visibility, your best guest are grenades spam in the darkest areas. mostly works for me.
and you can’t do much either against netcode.
i played yesterday against a friend in custom and despite he hitting me, and i can visually see the blood, i took no damage.
which mostly plagues the multiplayer as well with more chaotic battles.
so even if you want to try your best, you can’t always turn all odds on your side.
but, there are a few things that you can try.
( also against dropshotters. )
play alot of customs.
especially against bots.
this might sound dumb and pointless, but it actually helps to to understand better the maps, rally point range, locations and above all, train your aim against bots.
despite what most believe, bots there dropshot most of the time. so it’s a good training ground that will get you in the mindset of knee cap them whenever you get the chances. see an elbow on doors?
this will help you to shoot better and have reactions times.
for the rest, if what above doesn’t work, you can always go on the official enlisted discord and play with other people.
more chances of winning and get covered while somewhat improve against actual players.
i don’t particularly use it because i’m more of a lone wolf, but i heard pretty good things. so i’m sure you will find someone to play with.
small steps by steps, it’s a beginning process of improving and you have all the tools in your hand
There is still some serious tweaking for the campaigns stability.
I had one incident last night where I shot a person and there body actually gave me the hit markers , but they one shot me first and then suddenly died right after. Very wierd.
As for people hiding, when in doubt , like what has been said above. Just toss a grenade. I cannot count how many times I’ve just thrown one into a room blind and killed someone or many someone’s.
OK, just a little clarification, are you inquiring for help on sniping or just playing standard infantry squads? Or was the title just being facetious?
Anyway, one of the biggest things you have to contend with is just the godawful desync. I’ll be in one of my nests on overwatch, lined up a perfect shot on target, and nothing for an entire clip. Then I notice four other dudes around my target running in place and, yep, desync’d. Bullet doesn’t connect because he’s not technically where I’m shooting anymore.
Other times I’ll be on a rifleman, running up on a guy, shoot him almost point blank, center of mass… nope. No hit, no nothing, and he punches me in the face while I’m charging the next round. It gets bad, it gets a little frustrating at times, but the best you can do is respawn and charge back in the fray. Now that’s good soldiering.
Corner campers, not much you can do, honestly. Guys peeking, it’s just hit or miss when you have them pegged. Guys camped waiting for a peeker, they’ll probably see you before you see them. Dead ass, I’ve gotten kills putting holes through hands like deity offspring. Limit your angles as much as you can is all the advice I can give you there.
I play in Australia and its a latency thing. It happens alot where I get killed within a second of pulling the trigger myself, hearing the round, seeing it hit but because I got hit myself within that split second, my round doesnt count
It didnt used to be like this, in the early days it would always be a kill trade. I think something changed along the way.
Good news is with map awareness, you can bushwack people. And once you know where a Q/E sniper is camped you can put money on he wont move and will keep going back there. Just makes you learn snap shooting to shoot first accurately, OR map awareness to bushwack the camper that dont move. Also I have spent years aiming for headshots, not centermass shots. Leaning makes no difference when you have your eye in for headshots.
Half the time you dont even have to deal with them cos they are no where near the objective, just leave them there and choose a different route to cap point. Its actually better for you they stay there
Some very good points. I also want to remind everyone not to forget the most basic and simple function in game that continues to remain underutilized - marking the enemy.
IF you are getting killed by a sniper then by all means mark his position with whomever is left in your team if possible. Many tankers or pilots will certainly respond to markers and MG apply some HE against the indicator.
double post
Also some advanced tips for you
when spawn in with your squad press “K”. This will put you in individual trooper order select mode. Now your AI troops will stand pretty much exactly where you tell them to. All you have to do is hit go here 4-6 times (depending long it takes to cycle through each squad member. This way you can put all your troops in hard cover near by to use as spawn points. Also troops positioned in this way put more attention on shooting and less on moving. Makes them hit more targets. Also make sure you put them in aggressive mode.
tip 2 (not necessary but I find it useful), bind spot key to shoot key. So every time you shoot at something you are automatically spotting for everyone. This also has the added bonus that bots in your squad react to this aswell. When combined with first tip, can be quite effective.
I hate snipers. killing them is really wasting time…
