I prefer more historical look for my tanks but this works too. I will be so happy when we get white star/iron cross decals

I’m not sure how you conflate clearly oversized decals on vehicles as artistic…
This is one of the problems with games that like to offer historically relevant decals to players so that they can make their tanks look and feel more historically authentic, but forget that the lowest common denominator wants to paint eyes and dress up their tanks like a bizzare episode of Cars or something…
Each to their own, I guess but sometimes, just briefly, I wish there was some adult supervision for the Dev team.
