How to kill all german tanks with jumbo

Please give up your AP and use HE!
As shown in the picture, when you hit the red area with HE, you can die in one shot. Why not green, the reason is very simple, because there is only an 8 mm thick armor under the red turret!

Here comes the important point. It is known that the top armor of German armor from No. 3 to No. 4 is only 10 to 12 mm thick, and armor of this thickness can be directly blasted by the HE of the M3 tank gun!

The first is the No. 3 tank. There is a 3N in Normandy. Although its data shows that it is only 50mm, the gap armor directly turns your 75mm armor-piercing projectile into small stones, but you only need to switch to HE and aim at its commander’s observation window. Give it a shot and send it back to the hell!

Then there is the common No. 4 tank. It is equipped with a 75mm kwk40 tank gun. I believe it will make your Sherman miserable, but you need to switch to HE and shoot it in the face, and all problems will be gone. It is worth mentioning that the chassis armor of the No. 4 tank was found to be only 10mm on the training ground (I have not tried it in actual combat). If you are interested, you can try it

Finally, it was also found on the training ground that there are four 5mm thick armor plates at the rear of the Tiger tank, which correspond to the fuel tank. If you aim at the position of the Tiger tank as shown in the picture, there is a probability that it will explode.

Compared with the previous version, this time Anton canceled the HE shell’s penetration prompt (that is, there is no longer a green prompt), but strengthened the shell overpressure mechanism similar to War Thunder.

I hope that the players of the Allied forces in Normandy will put these skills into practice. The above content comes from the Baidu enlisted Forum user binnn.

Man I’ve been doing this since June, thanks for getting the word across

The spaced armor on the Panzer IV’s are also pretty vulnerable to HE, especially for the H. variant. Although I usually had trouble taking out Panthers/Tigers because my shell kept missing. With the earlier tanks, the weakspots are much larger which was the primary reason why.

Overpressure is slightly exaggerated at the moment: A stuart one shotted me in my panther by shooting my upper front plate.

But use this to your advantage while you still have it: it’s a good thing that I’ve already finished the Panzer IV grind and have moved on to the Panther(which is slightly harder to hit).

Anyways excuse me for these repetitive posts, but this obviously applies to the M4A2, and presumably the T-34, T-28, and other Soviet tanks equipped with the 76mm cannon.

Yes. But obviously the situation of the Allied forces in Normandy is much more miserable than that of the Soviets, I hope they have the power to fight back.

I tried some of these in game, and I overpressured two tigers from the front, one with HE and one with a smoke shell.

Stop using virgin jumbo, and use chad m4a2

Now if only you could get so close in real/live game to Panther As and Tiger Es to get those juicy shots.

Easy to do on practice but its a different story in actual battle. Jumbo weakspots like the MG port are more interesting with a single 88mm APHE and jumbo goes kaput. Also alternatives like panzerfaust and ofenrohr for infantry will do.

Just HE the tiger’s front plate, guaranteed kill - overpressure’s kinda jacked rn
