Honestly a Spawn Cost system seems legit, you could even tie those certain team based actions like building rallies and attacking/defending the point.
For example.
In your BR3 lineup facing BR2.
All Infantry squads are free to spawn
Tank Destroyers are free to spawn (Think Stug/M10(Should be BR3 imo)/Ho Ni/etc)
Fighters are free to spawn
If you have a BR2 Tank in your BR3 lineup it should be free
If you have a BR3 Tank in your BR3 lineup it should cost say 100 Spawn Points
Same again for CAS, BR2 CAS is free
BR3 CAS costs 125 Spawn Points
Then Reward Actions such as :
Building a Rally (50 Spawn Points)
Killing Someone on the Point (10 Spawn Points)(Can Stack)
Killing Someone while on the Point (5 Spawn Points)(Can Stack)
People spawning on your rally or insert vic (5 Points per squad)
Destroying a vehicle (20? Spawn Points)
etc
etc
I think this would be nice so it means we would see people trying and playing more vehicles at least, also meaning we would see more of a ramp up through the battle starting with TD’s and lighter aircraft then ramping up to the heavier vehicles.
And issue with this I see though is the lack of an ability to change your vehicle squads mid match, however this could be balanced by using the current reinforcement tank system, ie. If you have a Pz4 J in your tank squad, at game start the game could instead offer you a Stug to spawn into with that squad.
I mean now I right this, I like this idea more, might even work a suggestion for it.
Maybe eliminate BR altogether just have escalation starting at BR1. That way people would not Zerg rush the goal feeding the enemy power. It would also let people play multiple different squads. Start as BR1 riflemen then you. Have to decide straight BR2 after ancient to better riflemen or side advancement to assaulters, snipers expect.
That would be a fun concept for a custom game, however the matches are way too short for that, we would need like 5 hour matches to properly enjoy that, and maps that are 100x as big
Longer then average now yes, 5 hours no. One you assume you the point is for everyone in every match to get to br5. No maybe only the top player on the winning team maybe not even them. So like between a hour or two for a match. This would also slow it down as you can’t fight fast. You can just get noob clubbing weapons straight from the start of the game. As for bigger maps why it could be capture counter capture play we already have. We would not work with every game mode. Maybe even multi battle like the chapters of a single player game. Whatever the case balance needs a lot of work. Sick of people farming kills instead of playing the objective.
It could have had all the fantasy elements in it right from the beginning - more M-26’s in the Pacific and KV-2’s in Berlin, nonsense weapons (you can have more of some weapons in a single squad than ever existed at all irl!), rubbish maps, “merged” campaigns…
oh thats simple, add premium ammo which costs gold, special powerups/consumables, make research done through lootboxes, randomise BR brackets depending on the day, remove the gold order system… oh wait
