You got 1.5 score more than him.
It’s clearly depend from score for engineer points.

Because from my end, if i don’t get builder award, i always(cough) nearly always have best engineer, and then i would maybe agree about it being tied to engineer points.

Got more score, for example just 19 rally uses is 665 engineer scores, if you use sandbags/barbed wired you’d need for them to be used them 111 times to beat that score

Had 13 rally uses, had to build a second, and a few bags 
Dont use wire anymore, to many seem to just run into them, instead of navaigate 
I guess it’s was in general.
