so, not a completely new player but i am low lvl, only 10 in Normandy, and since the update removing the ability to purchase troops with bronze, i have no idea how to get silver or troops without premium currency. please could someone tell me what im missing or is this now blocked off behind a pay wall like 90% of features in this game?

Check if you can do some of the achievements. Else hope you get some on daily login. Keep slowly working on battlepass to get some.

the only way to get soldier currenty, is through silvers, as you correctly guessed.
currently, to get silver orders you need to perform the achievement tasks ( under battlepass challenges )
or the battlepass it self.
( although, seems devs are poiting for people to buy the premium bp which gives you more silvers ).
and try your luck through daily rewards as well.
currently there are no other ways.
but a new way of gaining silver is being working on.

issue with this mate is as f2p you can turn in 3 achievements a day then forced to wait 24hrs to turn in 3 more, donāt even get silver every time either. this has killed the game for me as all sense of progression has been stripped away and locked behind a pay wall. really saddened by this, i enjoyed playing for hours prior to this, now i have no motivation due to being handicapped to 3-4 soldiers a squad and each squad only having 1 āspecialistā and 3 riflemen

thats justā¦ so flawed, obvs youāre not responsible and telling me how it is, but really, does that sound like a good, thought out system to encourage player retention? the old system was better and balanced for f2p. I want a new AT gunner? best gamble my bronze and hope i get one, if not play another game, earn more bronze and roll the dice again. now i have 0 opportunity to make any meaningful progress. spending 50+ bronze to lvl 1 troop from 1*- 5* in 1 squad with only 4 soldiers isnāt it chief, imo when you upgrade a squad with say an Engineer, you should get a lvl 1 engineer to fill that slot, rather than now having a 9 man squad with only 4 slots used and 3 of them being standard riflemen

Your response is one I hope more people especially developers and the defenders of this new system read. The new system has demolished F2P for everyone forcing them to pay.

I heard that new silver orders gain is coming.
For now F2p and new players are really hard to fill up the squad especially on low lvl.
Yesterday I start the Moscow campaign in accident, after first 2 game I already reach lvl 5. But if Iām fresh player, I wonāt hv any silvers, and I did the math that I may not able to fill up my first 4 squad until 20lvl, even with Elite battle pass.

thanks, i really enjoy the game and want to see it get better, if premium was an option for me id likely go for it, but as it stands it feels like im being forced out the game for trying to enjoy f2p

You are essentially being forced to play one side of one campaign and thats messed up. I dabbled in every campaign and bounced around building squads but now players arenāt given that choice to explore different groups if they want to have more than a 4 man team

Pretty sure a simple solution (and what I thought they intended on doing) was to give players a 1 lvl soldier (even basic rifleman would be better) for every unlocked slot. To make the supply of silver orders so restricted, and not do that is insane. It would be like if they didnāt give a default rifle to new soldiers in the squad and forced you to grind silver orders to have a rifle or even a knife.
The main thing this does is induce frustration in the player.

even less so, i only have full squads on Normandy at lvl 10 because that was done prior to the update, got to level 5 as axis on Berlin and came here to make this post after funding no way to get new soldiers. if i was brand new i wouldnt even get progression in sticking to one campaign and one side, and another issue is only having 3 inf squads of 4 men with 1 spec troop each, rather than before where it was less of an issue because i could fill out multiple roles per squad, and bring multiple specialists

Before this update, I wholeheartedly recommended paying the one-time elite battlepass if you think youāll be around for another month or two, next battlepass can be bought by the unlocks from previous.
But with this rather unfriendly/half-finished update I donāt wish to suggest anything like that.
