Imo:
The Italians should consider themselves lucky.
They already have their own voice lines for each of their squads.
By contrast, the Charlemagne squads, for example, doesn’t even have French voice lines or the correct uniforms.
But I agree: to ensure Enlisted lasts longer, they should add subtrees—Romania and Italy for the Axis; and for the Allies, England and France (e.g., the Free French Forces with the 13th DBLE) would be good additions at first.
As for France, I’d even be fine with having to grind a new tech tree featuring American or British copies (with French re-skins) of the Sherman, for example, in addition to authentic French vehicles.
WT already has a large number of vehicles that could be transferred to Enlisted.
On top of that, we also have a good number of Italian and French weapons in the game.
These tech trees might end up being smaller than the current Axis and Allies ones, but it would still be fun to grind through them all

Listen you’re somewhat right but here’s the problem with that, in enlisted Italy isn’t the equivalent of France, it’s the equivalent of Britain, France would be closer to countries like Romania and Hungary which have horrible representation. Italy was much bigger like Britain so both Italy and Britain need better representation, the smaller counties like Hungary, Romania, and France can be worked on later.

I do not agree with you.
Let’s set aside the French bashing and the Italian bashing and speak as enthusiasts of military history.
Italy did not win against France in the Alps (in France we still call our mountain troops by this name: " l’armée invaincue" = “the undefeated Army”).
Moreover, both before and during the war, French weaponry enjoyed a better reputation and prestige than Italian weaponry.
To me, these two nations deserve to be treated on the same level.
That’s why, if subtrees are to be implemented, on the Allied side I would include England and the Free French Forces, and on the Axis side Italy (before Romania).

I said in enlisted, not irl, Italy was Germany’s main big European ally as Britain was America’s. France should only appear as partisans as most of the battles (if not all of them) in enlisted take place after France’s surrender.

My friend, I admire all the French and Italian efforts in the war!
And speaking for myself, we should have both nations as sub-trees within the existing nations, as it would give players from these nations more insight into the game and history, and also give them pride in using their compatriot soldiers and even their own weapons!
I support BOTH, as well as ROMANIA, AUSTRALIA, etc…
As long as the smaller nations are only remembered for their weapons or vehicles!
But the UK, ITALY, and FRANCE were major nations in that context!

You forget 1 thing : FFL (13eme DBLE for ex), + colony + De Gaulle .
But yess, it s easier to make firstly a subtree for England and Italian , and second time other nations
