Klaus Dieter, a 85 year old(in 2022) inhabitant of Heikendorf in Germany was known to have a unmilitarized Panther in his basement.
In 2005 an investigation started on his private collection composed of the panzer, a 88mm flak canon, weapons,a replica of a V1 and nazi art collection.
It was ceased but the german police in 2015 according to the verdict of the first trial.
In 2021 he is order to break up his collection and find new owner. A US museum might be a buyer.
What is your opinion? Should this man had kept his Panther?
Imo it’s ok to have a private tank.
I’m totally not biased and I totally wouldn’t like to own a hanomag 251 which I’d use to get my grocery done.
I think it’s happen because Germany is afraid of its history and want to delete everything that bring shame for what happen during the war: and a old dude with a collection of nazi stuff is very polemic in that country.
You are a museum, yea it’s perfectly normal.
You bought the tank 1978 and kept it as a collectionner: you must be a nazi.
In any other country you can have a broken tank in your garden if you want.
I’m sure nobody would have raise an eyebrow if it was a unmilitared t34. Because people do not associate it autmaticaly with something bad…
-What is a Panther?
-It’s a german tank for WW2
-oh… it’s a nazi tank.
-Tanks don’t have a political agenda. They have a 75mm KwK42 to win debate with other tanks. That’s all.
-What about marxist tanks? sight
-the T34? Yea… they also don’t have political agenda and in contrary of the popular believe, they don’t actualy believe in a fair distribution of ressources. They are just tanks.
Germany has a long history now of Self Flaggilation.
Its Sad really. The war happened, the vast majority of the participants are dead. They need to get over it.
History is good to understand, and we should never forget it, but there has to be a point in life where we look forward instead of ever backward.
Occident as a whole now suffers from this disease. It’s like they love being recognized as guilty for things that happened hundreds of years ago.
Also why it’s now “ok” in social media to show deliberate racism against ppl of white skin tone, while the opposite is vilified, and many characters in tv shows are “blackwashed” for “inclusivity”…
Referece to the cassed bat-girl movie?
If not, the movie was so woke that WB have decided to never put him in commerce and take a backslash 70 million dollar loss, for not damage batman franchise
I don’t care woke stuff if the story is good.
Exemple: Arcane
But most of time the woke character are only defined by their skin color, sexuality or religion. And it hurt the story.
Just like a guy who has just became recently Vegan and want to tell everybody. Who are you except a Vegan guy?
In star wars 7-8-9 they had a female protagonist. And that’s perfectly fine, Asoka for exemple is one of the best character in the Franchise.
The problem they made Rey a mary sue. A overpowered character that don’t face any challenge and therefor has no character development: she start as an amazing strong woman and end up as a amazing strong woman.
And she is a skywalker now… because of this guy on the island that teach her to sit and meditate for 5min.
The world is not sick. The world just grew incompetent.
In the video game industry, the big editor just surf on the trend (Battle royal), make the same game again and again (fifa, skyrim), try to put uncessary politic agenda (cod), or just release unfinished (bf, warcraft).
Sequel trilogy is unversally acclaimed like the worse shit ever released with star war name on it, rey is a mary sue and as you say
Rey:found youngling slayer 9000
System:congratulation now you are more strong than obi wan
But is not woke, only have a movie director change every week, so i can expect nothing good on a saga were 20 people changed the script for personal preference
Ashoka is not woke, it was introduced as anakin padawan in: the clone wars movie/series and become a fan favorite because it have a goodlike character development
