Heavy Machine Gun Team

Hi,
Heavy Machine Gun Team COULD be an own squad. But the mechanic can be implemented for machine gunners too.

Suggestion:
Introduce Heavy Machine Guns.
They need to be deployed (like mortars).
New equipment: Ammo Box to feed machine gun.
You need to install an ammo box to use that gun.
If ammo is empty you need to request ammo from a squad m8, if he carries another box.

This could replace the current machine gun nest, which has some drawbacks in my opinion.
Here they come:

  • Machine gun nests have unlimited ammo.
  • You can only deploy it once and cannot shift it.
  • Currently all nations get same machine gun.
  • It seems wrong placed for engineers. It is core stuff for Gunners.

Well the americans are supposed to have a tripod 30 cal but they’re hesitant or slow to introduce it. I remember watching the history channel where a small platoon killed 500 germans with just a few garands and one tripod 30 cal, lol

It seems to be an approach to remove all weapon building from engineers for an own squad.

Not really my approach.

More and more squads is a problem with those random bronze wagers. That was the reason is wrote “could”.

Personally I am fine with AA and cannon building for engineers. Those cannot be easily moved. A heavy machine gun can be moved and it fits in my opinion to machine gunners.

So this but only for MGs.

  • Ammo boxes. And weapon needs waepn slot, but in general yes.
