This +2 tanks means that 6/10 of players are in vehicles. Do I have to explain why this is bad?
There is no need for more tanks, because these actually meet in battle and destoy each other, while Aircraft fly through the Battle mostly unhindered.
I see you don’t understand the problem.
In Moscow nearly all fighters have bombs or rockets, so making it like this will create even more infantry bombing.
Second problem is that even when there are few players in the air, it feels on the ground, as you have less players to cap points.
At my level (32-nd axis in Moscow), there are always someone in the air or on the AA in the enemy team. Maybe it’s just luck tho.
Thats why we need more Designated Fighters like the Bf 109 G10 in Normandy, where the Airplane-problem is definately the Biggest
2 Fighters should be fine then if 3 are too many, there would only be 1 more Vehicle in Battle or am I wrong? This was just an Idea I got while writing the Suggestion about the Airfield and I didn´t think that one quite through.
My mainpiont however was the Takeoff from an airfield, which would make the game already less boring for Pilots.
we can add +2 more tanks on ground so we can have 8/10 vehicles… or maybe +4 so we have 10/10 vehicles… imagine what kind of game that would be
The airport idea wouldnt work, when it takes you 4 to 5 minutes alone to get to the battlefield in a 20 min match it would nerf planes to mutch.
A solution that was sayed often, is to place the spawn farther behind, so planes need some time to arrive, and fighters have at least a chance to intercept bombers before they can release there payload.
Playing aircrafts in Enlisted must be better rewarded. I see actually no sense in playing anything else except bombers or an airplane with bombs.
Same goes to the interception of enemy airplanes: the reward is just too low.
pure fighters are trash, unless you have 10 slots and you can afford having 1 extra fighter for revenge kill.

I don’t think it would be as much of a problem if they increase the player count per team. A lot of people have been asking for things like 25v25 or 50v50
Except that the maps would be too crowded.
Solution would be bigger maps. They have an entire worldspace to work with and the maps we play on are tiny pieces of it. Bigger maps would also encourage usage of things like motorcycle squads in other campaigns, and hopefully transport vehicles, or other forms of vehicles.
Easier said than done.
How? Literally people are expanding the playspace in the mods. All they would have to do is enlarge the amount of playable space within a mission.

I want airstrips and carriers to land at, repair and rearm. There’s already some in the game.

I think this is the crux of it, the plane fight models and damage models have to be brought in line with what they have in WT to make the planes more vulnerable.
The planes in Enlisted are generally more robust because there is nowhere to repair them…
3 options follow:

Accept the new fragility as is, at which point time in the air would be more challenging and you might see an even greater increase in suicide attacks. Upside will be shorter more brutal air battles, more vulnerability to AA and higher turnover of players who would like to fly but the spots are often taken.

Add a repair function to the ammo point in the air and move it further back. As long as your plane made it to the rearming point you’d be ok… Although if the damage models were realistic and the point far enough away, this would not be as easy as some may think. Downside will be time on target for players who will now take a lot longer to rearm.

Add a dedicated repair point, separate from the re-arming point and therefore further back, to balance out the repair advantage for a given aircraft. Leave the rearming points where they are to allow sufficient time on target for pilots to get XP and actually progress the vehicles.
Ajust XP gain from “just kills” to damage inflicted for aircraft vs other aircraft or perhaps even vehicles using MG or Cannon, using not dissimilar formulae to what they have in WT for bombing tonnages dropped on bases.
Bombs can function as they currently do, although you could award partial XP for damage done to vehicles - I suspect there maybe something like this already in play but we only see the benefit for crew killed in the chat.
