The Chaffee’s armor protection and reload time are both weaker than the Sherman’s—any Axis tank can easily penetrate it. A 5.2-second reload offers no real advantage.

You can, but you are pixel hunting to hit the weakspots.
The 4E or at least the F1 need the B model HEAT shells, like 5-7 shells of it in their entire rack.
After playing with
i will never again be against M24 and other American BR2 tanks not getting APCBC shells. Not only Rhino has APCBC but it also has ultra fast reload, it’s a BR1 tank too, while BR2 tanks struggle hard against Axis tanks.

Chaffee has amazing reverse speed so it can reposition and avoid shells while Shermans can’t as it’s much bigger so it obviously need a better protection.

Reverse speed is extremely underrated stat.
It can reverse up the steep incline on the sides dday… i couldn’t stop laughing while doing it.

Only if they move the m24 into BR 3. If it gets APHE it will just be a better chi nu but a BR lower.
And even more so much more better than the Ho-ni 3.

it would kill that tank as it can’t survive a single hit from any BR3 tank. Ho-i has 90mm of pen on it’s heat rounds it goes straight into M24 and instantly detonates it.
I was advocating of taking it to BR2 as it’s worthless at BR3 as it can’t kill Shermans anyway, they need new Chi-nu II at BR3 with higher pen
And? So which japanese tank can stop like any tank with its armor outside of BR 5? Low armor is irrelevent when the enemy get enogh pen to just ignore your armor anyway and the one who shoot first wins anyway.
Until they actually move down the japanese tanks I dont think M61 belongs into BR 2.
