sherman and jumbo getting apc would be anti realistically
apc rounds where extensive and only anti tanks group got it
on the other hand , it would be realistically if germans get heat rounds
killing panther is easy, just shoot the mantlet and its dead
get gud
oh god this again
no it would because m61, the APCBC round that OP is talking about, was the standard issue for the 75mm m3 because m72 was so shit, also there is no getting good when m72 doesn’t spall at all for the record i’ve played more axis than allies on normandy
ignore him
The Sherman would enter combat in 1942 equipped with the [75 mm gun M3] gun that could penetrate an estimated 88 mm (3.5 in) of rolled homogeneous armor at 90 degrees, a range of 100 meters (110 yd) and 73 mm (2.9 in) at 1,000 meters (1,100 yd) firing the usual M61 APCBC round
oh your talking about m62 rounds ?
sorry mistake it for apcr
sherman tanks definitely should get this round
but german tank like pz III N also need heat round so they can be effective
i had mention this in a older post myself

No you are thinking of APCR or HVAP - a heavy (usually tungsten) penetrating core with a lighter external sheath that did not seperate:
APC was the normal anti-tank round carried in every Sherman in 1944.
