some of the best dogfights happen when someone brings out a a Bf 109 or Fw 190. Anyone who is even moderately good at using either of those will take down almost every A-20 and P-47 they come across and will only be challenged by someone who is good in a P-51 Mustang.
The Bf 109 comes with 2 pairs of bombs to drop as opposed to the P-51C having a single pair of bombs of the same weight. The Fw 190 has rockets that are plenty capable at taking our a fair amount of infantry and has rapid firing cannons that take down opposing aircraft in only a few seconds if you can aim them.
as someone who has hundreds of hours in just normandy i can tell you axis is plenty well equipped to combat whatever the allies brings out assuming the players have an idea of how to use what they have. I have deliberately changed up my typical style of flying in the mustang as of late because i have encountered a few fighters that are better than average.
ive played so many games wher they never use the 109 or FW. im always flying my ju188. And even if theirs a chance we acualy get one ther mostly trying do hit ground targets forcing me to deal with plains. I posted a game wher I had to deal with plains more then bombing and nailed 6 of them. Be our damed luck they nruf the JU188 making it completly worthless agin.
even before it had gunners the fact it has a 50% larger payload than the A-20G-25 and fact that the bombs are spread across the wings and fuselage to space them apart from each other still meant that with practice it was capable of making very effective bomb runs. the gunners are broken op on that thing right now and you know it. the fact that a bomber can take out multiple attackers without much effort is absurd.
I actually played a round of the Ju one handed while i was having a sandwhich for lunch once and won that round with multiple aircraft shot down and still placed top of the board with those bombs. absolutely no other aircraft i have used with a gunner or multiple gunners has performed so well and i haven’t even seen anyone talk about or post anything about another aircraft with such gunners that can do such things that isn’t the Ju 188.
The only way for me personally to be more accepting of how stupid the Ju is would be for something just as stupid to be given on the allies side such that it would be fair. The A-20G-25 gunner just doesn’t do the same job as even one of the gunners on the Ju for some reason. probably due to how OP the Ju gunners currently are and possibly the A-20 gunner being set to perform badly for some reason.
Considering all your fighters have 4 to 6 rockets and 1 bomb even. the Ju188 is the only thing we got worth using. Why I said no one uses the 109s. Hell I barly see the 110 lol if you want to kill over 100 people the Alies is the way to do it. 2 rockets or 2 bombs aint gonia do it. less you get lucky and wipe out the team in 1 go lol but far as I got is 30 with the 50s or 2 rockes. Alies drop them rockets and all just as good as the JU188 at that includs your 4 rockets

I am gonna stop considering anything you say now. it is rare to see a match go by without a 110 showing up. That and you are desperately reaching to excuse the broken state of the Ju gunners.

I been playing for 9 days as I said lol only ones that use 110s are people new to the game any one who has the 188 uses it over 110 lol why use rockets that dont do crap ya youll kill more trops then a 109 or fw but thats abought it. between A 20 or P47 id go P47 way more wepomds to kill torps with even tanks if the bombs dont do crap but evey time im in a tank it doesnt mater what they are. I try to kill a tank all the rockets bonce and 50s dont do hardly any thing espesaly a jumbo though i have got lucky even with FW killing them. some times it takes 3 dynamite and a land mine to kill a jumbo.
I rather been a flying target then use any thing other then 188 even now. I got somting that will kill tanks and now thanks to update I can kill plains finaly
The ju188 has four gunners and two of them have 20mm cannons, thats compared to two gunners with 0.50cal on the a20.
It’s the 20mm guns that do the real work on the 188, the gunners on the a20 need to score more hits for the same results.
tbh its more like just one gunner on the A-20G-25 since the ventral gunner never has any real opportunity to do anything useful. MG’s and calibers aside the Ju has more accurate gunners to begin with because i have faced off against both aircraft and even have opportunity to watch my own gunner get to work sometimes.
