German weapons that should come equipped with the SG 84/98 III

There are some German weapons in the game that are able to mount the Seitengewehr 84/98 III but haven’t been given them for some reason, and it’s reasonable to assume that it wouldn’t take too much work to give weapons bayonets, especially if it’s already in game.

Pretty much all of the German guns after world war 2 were made to have Gewehr 98 type bayonet lugs, which look like this:

Notice that little notch on the right side there, that’s the important part, the bayonet lug is asymmetrical. Meaning if the bayonet lug has a notch like that, it’s compatible with Mauser type bayonet lugs. We have exceptions like the MP 34 (ö) (as in the S1-100, but if it works with the latter it should work with the former) and the ZH29, but I’m starting to doubt their compatibility with their equipped bayonets as I haven’t found any concrete evidence. (Edit, the ZH29 used a vz. 24 bayonet which was made for the standard Mauser bayonet lug, meaning it would be compatible)

  2. MKb 42 (H)

    Also with IRL evidence:

    That’s is an SG 84/98

  4. Schmeisser MK36.III

(This is straight up just a Mauser chassis)

Also with IRL evidence of an SG 84/98 being associated with it

(The Gewehr 1888 does seem to have the same type of bayonet lug as the MP 34 (ö) and S1-100:

And the Mondragón actually:

Just thought I’d mention that)

It would be really nice if this could be rectified, especially since the newest German gun, the MKb 42 (M), does have an SG 84/98 attached.
Consistency is just nice, is all, it helps please the autism

while they dont utilize the Seitengewehr 84/98, the Kiraly does feature a bayonet lug on it and I feel like giving it a bayonet would make it a more appealing BR5 assaulter weapon when compared to the STGs

Found this image of an ZH 29 with its bayonet and it appears to be using the older version of bayonet given the the ring protruding from the guard

I think I made a post a long time complaining about the kiraly not having its bayonet, and by all intents and purposes it should have it since there’s videos and pictures of the gun with its respective bayonet, which I believe is also similar to the one of the manlicher m1895 (which also doesnt have its bayonet)

The video Im talking about:

Well, that’s just the Czechoslovak standard one, aka the vz. 24 bayonet:

But since the vz. 24 has a standard Mauser bayonet lug (I checked), then that confirms that the ZH-29 would be able to use the SG 84/98.
The ring is just a different design choice, it’s the lug that matters in this situation.

The lug system is completely different on the Király compared to the Mannlicher. The Mannlicher has a square bayonet lug on the bottom, the Király has a weird peg thing.

The király 39M and 43M uses the Hungarian 35.M bayonet designed primarly for the 35M rifle.
