German Normandy teams bring me physical pain

Then use the ones that fit the point?

Germany gets some MGs that are out of map bounds for the allies and can cover the way into the objective completely.

Instead you get a bunch of snipers sitting around trying to pad their KDs instead of manning an MG and suppressing.

I assume this problem is a US server thing?

That valley is just nasty for the Allies. Just nasty.

It would be nastier if German teams knew what they were doing.

There’s a few points where a single hedgehog can completely halt any allied tank advance but I’ve never seen them used.

All games would be stomped if every engineer placed their rally points. I don’t get how people don’t do it every game, it’s so gloriously OP in comparison to normal spawns.

literally drive around the wall.

Have had some pretty bad games against the Germans on the Normandy campaign. It seems like I’m playing with a bunch of people who don’t know what they are doing half the time. I love to bomb in the A-20 but nobody marks anything half of my matches or even enemy tanks.

One of the possible sections but not the main section I’m talking about.

You can drive around basically any of the choke points. theres another entire post on the forum right now detailing exactly what i am telling you. The allies just take the hills, and use the MGs facing the wrong way, and shoot down on germans trying to hold the obj. There is no reason to have so many MGs that are blocked by trees, or are just entirely useless. There is no reason why the Allies should be able to just walk up the hill and flank the entire way down the map because the spawn makes it easy to do so.

The game needs clearer incentives for doing most things in the game besides just shooting people most of the reason games end up getting thrown

Put 1 hedgehog where the road snakes.
Tanks can’t go around it to the east because there’s a massive steep hill they can’t get all the way up, and they can’t get around it to the west because there’s another steep hill they can’t get up until a path that shows up after where you should put the hedgehog.

Every way up the flanks for infantry is easily covered by German MGs that I only extremely rarely see manned.
The west flank usually has some opposition at least, but the east flank I’ve found I can almost always walk up there completely unopposed despite a German spawn being near it. Not because of map placement but because German players never learn.

The map is just too wide. But agree with OP, countless time we had just me and some other guy sitting on point to defend it. The rest of the team was camping just 20 meters outside it and enemies still would just pour in.

Yes, the worst team in whole game. Sometimes I bring a flamethrower squad to burn off these fucking anchors.

Today I met someone in invasion mode who keeping chatting but has 5 kills/9 death, which is definitely not a bot. Most players in Normandie Germany are even worse than bots.

I met someone similar in Moscow invasion. Had like 19 kills or so at the last cap point while we were defending but was mad that we were losing because the rest of the players sucked. We ended up winning that match. Good times…

Why is that everyone complains about their team being the worst, while at the same time they are the best …???

Also, looks like I just necroposted.

I think part of this is people are joining games against players working together. If more Axis teamed up on Normandy it wouldn’t be such a slaughter.

I’ve been doing just that with some success. if you are playing Normandy campaign and you’re tired of getting rolled, private message me and lets kick some ass.

I actually did see some smart German players use hedgehogs not long ago, and while it was frustrating to have to get out and spend time dismantling a half-dozen hedgehogs, I was impressed that someone actually thought, “Hey, I’m gonna block the road so American tanks can’t get into the AO.”
