Nah, not more lvls. Rather, sidegrades. Top lvl would remain 40, but there would be “branches” you could decide to put xp in, where you’d unlock different things, not better than what already is here. Just to add more variety without creating a gap between new and old players.

This idea I like the sound of, very unique and adds a lot of possibility.
Like the company of heroes doctrine systems. You may go the Foreign Allies option for Romanian, Italian, Hungarian, or ostruppen branch, or the classic blitzkrieg doctrine with your classic German arsenal, or reconnaissance doctrine which focus on light armor and recon cars and the specialty squads.
