First off This would be a nice addition to Tunesia as they were used there operationally, be a nice collectors plane .
On Moscow it seems they were only available as a reward?

It’s a blast to fly. Pretty responsive, plus the 2 gunners give you good defensive capability.
It’s unfortunate that marking from planes is so haphazard, because this is one of those planes that would benefit as a ground attack and observation aircraft.

Sorry no bombs for fighters in Tunisia 
Is it considered a Fighter? IRL it was an army cooperation aircraft, a far cry from a fighter, if it were a Custom plane, that you paid for, would it fill the same role as the BA 88, and take a fighter slot when in play even though it is an attacker?
Oh I’m not sure, it’s just it has 50kg bombs only, which fighters usually have, but none in Tunisia
It is very maneuverable, two max gunners, means it can surprise enemy planes with it’s mgs and it is more interceptor than recon
it’s would probably be marked as attacker like in moscow (in war thunder it’s considering a light bomber)
It takes the attacker slot if I remember well… Which makes it less than ideal, as it has something like 2 50kg bombs only and very weak cannons. It does have 2 defensive gunners however, which probably could surprise other planes…
Would be funny in Tunisia thought, but I’d give it the fighter spot.
4 bombs (2 drops) and it doesn’t have any cannons only 7.92 machine guns

So do premium planes take whatever slot is available, they can go either way, so my BA 88 could take either the fighter slot or the attacker slot ?

Ah yes, but you swap out crew for a different squad unlock and you will have two upgrades, gunners
