Depends what you mean by overall. They only generate more XP from their own actions it is the only way their contribute. So good maximized regular squad can in the end contribute more simply because they stay alive much longer and achieve more things that bring XP even without multiplier.
Premium squads are now mostly useless, particularly because they cannot train regular soldiers. This nerf was done in the most deceitful way just after sale campaign. Personally I won’t buy any of them until it is fixed in some form.
In case you didn´t undersand me, i meant that in the closed beta, you were able to equip 6-7 stormtroopers (or assaulters, idk the exact english word for it) and in the 4 campaigns, at level2 as i remember, also assault troops with the same amount of assaulters as the premium squad had in the CBT. I said there should be an possibillity to add ANY kind of soldiers, it doesnt have to be an assaulter. Also as i remember, the madsen or dp 27 (i just play the soviets, i dont know about the other mg´s) got a 12. damage output, thats less than the mosin nagant rifle with 15., and even the mosin is ONLY oneshot in the upper body, that means mg´s arent oneshot (unless to the head, but every gun is). Next point, what would be wrong with having basically the same assaulter squad, as the one which you get in the campaign? They just wear different clothes? you can level up the ranks of the free soldiers, to make them as good as the premium soldiers?. The CBT squad would be literally be just like the normal campaignlevel 2 assaulter squad, but you get 4 soldiers who doesnt need to be sent to the academy to level their ranks up anymore. Its just a way to save some time, so you dont have to wait for your normal assaulters to return from the academy, with the exact same benefits as the normal soldiers can get.
Being able to add any type of soldier to the premium squads is the same as being able to add 3 assaulters or even 3 machine gunners to the already 4 assaulters. Calling to add 3 more slots that the players can equip with whatever they want is arguing to make the squads pay to win again. If 3 more slots are added, it should only be of standard riflemen. Otherwise it should be 1-2 slots with some options.
Definitely not true. The torso has 10 hp. A shot to the torso will down or kill every time with a LMG unless at range. Also, not every gun one shots to the head. Pistols and smgs do not one shot to the head except at point blank range.
No other squad has or ever had option to equip 7 automatic weapons (until FG42 and M2 happend in Normandy, but that is not the case here). If you are talking about Assaulter II squads - then please provide any screenshots shoving that they have that option (spoiler: they don’t).
IF additional soldier slot would ever be added to the premium squads then they should be standard troopers. Nothing more. Premium squad is not supposed to be more powerful than free ones - it is supposed to be different and work as a great start for new players that don’t have equipment and soldiers to compete with veteran players. So if fully maxed free squad is better than premium one - that’s good. If the premium one is better - that’s P2W.
An example. The FREE assaulter squad 1, got (in my case i chose) 4 assault / 1 machine gunner / 1 engeneer/ 1 anti tank. All of these units can be combined in the first FREE assaulter squad 1.In the premium squad, you only got 4 rank 5 assaulters (You can easily get rank 5 soldiers through the academy for free), but you cant choose 3 more specialists like in the free one. That means that the free assaulter squad 1 is way better than the premium one. So why shouldnt it be possible? In case you would answer “Their perks are too good”, the exact same perks can be obtained for free mormal soldiers. “They are rank 5”, you can easily get rank 5 soldiers by using the academy. “They got a rank 5 submachinegun” you can easily get free rank 5 guns by upgrading them with spare parts. All in all, the premium squad (4 assaulters) is worse then the free assaulter squad 1 (4 assaulters and 3 selectable specialists).
You already get 4 max level V soldiers with maxed good to very good performing SMGs, with the 4-slot backpack and (IMO) the best perk combo (200% more HP per MP+faster usage).
No keed to make them even more OP (especially since even the creator of this topic sonewhat agrees that they are pretty OP with sehen SMGs).

And also as i told you you can obtain rank 5 soldiers by sending 3 different rank 4 soldiers to the academy, i dont send mine there for now, i can use 6 fully upgraded rank 4 soldiers more than 2 rank 5 soldiers (they dont have that much benefits). So basically i could easily send 3 of the rank 4 soldiers to the academy, all i need to do is to wait 4h till i can use him (academy training time). I got 6 rank 4 soldies what means i basically got “2 free rank 5 soldiers” (picture 1 and 2, sorry for the bad quality)
So basically i already got 4 rank 5 soldiers for completely free (and i even got 5 more rank 4 soldiers, but i have to reach 4 stars by playing them ingame, that means in a day or two i even got 2 more rank 5 soldiers
It was OP and was rightfully nerfed. Whether you agree with the way it was nerfed does not matter in that regard. Premium squads are not exempt from balance changes. The developers changed it and there is that.
The only change I would suggest is to let the premium squads replace the default premium soldiers with normal riflemen only, no other specialist classes, to speedlevel them through the squad.
So two rank 5s from the battlepass and a rank 5 weapon as a drop. That makes up what? 2% of your troops in your army and 1% of equipped guns after how many hours of gameplay? Sorry, but rank 4 soldiers are not rank 5 soldiers. And how many hours have you played? I’m going to guess close to 100. So even when you have your 6 rank 5 soldiers (if you choose to even level them up and throw in trash soldiers in their place), you’ll have spent well over 10 hours of gameplay to get each one. And two of them were given to you from the battlepass, meaning you can’t get more like that for another two months. Sorry, but thats not at all quick.
This game was made by the same developers as war thunder. Do you know that it could take years to unlock a tier 10 tank (best in game)? I think getting 6 of the best obtainable items in Enlisted every two months is pretty much. Do you expect to finish and unlock everything in 1 month? of course it takes some time because thats one of the best items in the game.
Also didnt you understand me ? with the 6 rank 4 soldiers i could make 2 rank 5 soldiers with just one click? i think this is countable as rank 5 soldiers, i just need the 6 rank 4 soldiers more right now than just 2 rank 5.
First things first, I never objected to it being a long progression system. I objected to you saying:
yet you are still yet to get one after (I’m assuming around 100) hours of gameplay.
On another note, you say you have 6 of the best items (currently you only have 3 but we’ll say you have 6 because you decide to upgrade them) after 100 hours of gameplay and you need ~400 of them to max out a single campaign. Plus theres going to be at least 4 campaigns. This will take tens of thousands of hours to max out if they only keep 4 campaigns with only 26 levels per side.
Thats exactly my point. You won’t upgrade because you’re squads would get worse. Thus meaning you won’t have them for a while still.
Hasn’t been the best tank in the game for over half a year by now but okay.
If you grind hard you can get a 10.7 tank within 2 months without paying. The same cannot be said for a maxed out squad in Enlisted, which would be the equivalent of a 10.7 tank.
The rank 5 soldiers in my squad basically exist, i just dont want to obtain them now. Also i think its normal that it takes a lot of time to complete an entire game to 100%, of course it takes a lot of time to get EVERYTHING. But this entire coversation was about the 4 rank 5 soldiers in the premium squad. I got exactly 51h ingame and i “basically” already got at least 4 rank 5 soldiers. I meant that getting as good soldiers as in the premium squad is not that difficult .
No! Premium squads in CBT were horribly OP and I do not want to see this making its return, especially after overall squad changes that drasticaly reduced squad sizes.
If you have ANY doubt, then check out countless threads and comments on how broken premium squads were before nerf.
I dont think that most of the people are able to grind 5h a day to get such a high rated warthunder tank in just 2 months. In enlisted its WAY easier i think, i play warthunder since a year i think but i still havent got a single tank better then battlerating 6.
But they don’t. You’re not going to upgrade them because you’d be putting crappy soldiers in two of their places. Just because you could get them doesn’t make it practical to get them. Lets also note, 51 hours without a single rank 5 from the academy but:
