Footage of the average Bolt-Action Rifle user

This needs to stop. Don’t touch the damage, just stop the aim assist.

You know, sometimes I think to myself: “maybe I’ll play stalingrad?”
Then I remind myself of downwards MG recoil (that would take literalry 2min to fix) and full acces BS.

It’s really not that bad dude, look at the lobbies your doing that in. I didn’t watch the full video because that’s 4 minutes but I didn’t see 1 high leveled player contest you. This is why I have crossplay enabled. Console only lobbies are filled with bots and less experienced players and it turns the game into a lol.

I implore you throw crossplay on and try doing this in a lobby filled with nothing but Marshall players and There will be a very different result

Correction There was 1 Marshall player in the beginning of the video

I have crossplay turned off because all people use in Stalingrad is ether a Bolt-Action rifle or a sniper MKB-42
With it turned off i get into lobbys with around 5 real enemys thats are easy to kill.

That’s exactly my point, you just stated yourself that’s half a enemy team and majority of console players haven’t even passed the major rank and are far less experienced and lack better equipment.

Furthermore as someone who with crossplay enabled I can say this is not true. I rarely see a sweaty meta player take bolt actions over full automatics especially in Stalingrad where Axis users for example have access to the MKB 42(H) and the MP 717 (PPSH captured)

The recoil on MGs is somewhat realistic in Stalingrad instead of climbing up they push back but they move to the sides to much, the DP-27 is a extremely controlable gun in real life due to its weight and balanced design.

The MG-42 is quite realistic too, except it zigzags to much instead of pushing right.

Im going to try your advise and hopefully your right

No, they don’t push back. They push down in the game.
Since when a gun placed on the ground can move downwards irl?

I’m very interested to see the physics behind this “realistic” feature.
(A simple kinematic drawing with marked force and torque vectors will suffice.)

I said somewhat realistic. And they dont push down ether

They do in the game.

And I still don’t get how is that even close to being realistic.

Pushing down isn’t realistic and the MGs i use dont do that (DP-27 and DT-29)

Ah!
If I remember correctly only german MGs in stalingrad have downwards recoil.
I forgot about it. (Or I’m going mad. Or I’m drunk.)

That would explain why devs don’t want to fix it (in 2min). 0 soviet bias.

Ok, it turns out I heavily missrememberred how the recoil pattern looks like. Sry for the confusion.

But nonetheless, it’s still broken.

Mannlicheeeeers!!! :stuck_out_tongue:

But I’m an oddball it’s true. I main riflemen squads in Stalingrad, no joke (I find them fun). But I do keep 2 meta sweat squads in reserve for each faction when facing meta spammers (I have 10 slots).

The op point, like you said, doesn’t make any sense. He complains about a feature only found on console… yet he keeps it on all the time and only wish to play with other console players. There’s a big lack of logic here…

idk.

maybe it’s just me, but i don’t see anything… particular weird about it?

it’s an aim assist.

useful in some occasions, and really questionables in others.

but not entirely aggressive as others game.
because you still miss shots.

Not a total oddball I run rifleman units in Moscow and Tunisia, I’ve got one in Stalingrad aswell but honestly that’s just because of the increased Squad cap in Stalingrad.

I keep em around but honestly they get used very infrequently as my order of units goes Armor>Infantry which is usually not a Rifle unit

Rifle squad do make sense in SG.

You’re shooting bots that just stand still…literally can do that easily with or without aim assist

It make more sense in the pacific

Just turn aim assist off if it bothers you so much
