what does unauthorized connection mean? cause i have no idea
How long does the ban last?
So this means that leaks are not allowed…
No comments…
use, facilitate, create, or maintain any unauthorized connections to the Game, including, without limitation, (1) any connection to any unauthorized server that emulates or attempts to emulate any part of the Game, or (2) any connection using programs, specialized tools, software not permitted by Gaijin.
well it wasnt allow in the first place
at least the picture part idk about “talking” about it
The post above from our Game Master refers to accessing private developer servers for Gaijin games.
So test server you mean?
i recommend you explain these points in detail so everyone understands. otherwise this thread will be 50 posts talking past the point and 50 more points yapping with each other. your explanation is very vague and needs details.
edit: copypasting ToS points barely helps, as those sentences are legal stuff most people also dont understand, so they too need explanation.
edit2: also post the names of the accounts so everyone knows it was some obscure cheaters and not normal people who just fished for exciting leaks during the BP delays.
I copied these from the terms of service: Gaijin Terms of Service
3.2.8. No unauthorized connections
● use, facilitate, create, or maintain any unauthorized connections to the Game, including, without limitation, (1) any connection to any unauthorized server that emulates or attempts to emulate any part of the Game, or (2) any connection using programs, specialized tools, software not permitted by Gaijin.
3.2.9. No mining of hidden data
● mine or otherwise collect any Game data not intended for display during normal (as intended by Gaijin) exploitation of such Game.
Basically: you can get banned for sharing anything (also accessing anything on test server you were not meant to access) that is not in the official release yet, I hope that this does not include the editor.
Another question:
- are modders still safe?
They kinda have to dig a lot in the game’s data & mechanics…
Not sure about this move, and one that does not set a good precedent.
Makes modders not want to investigate code to improve their own mods.
Or datamine for weapon changes etc.
I would urge that clarification be provided on what caused this post.
So modders will get ban if we use the editor to show stuff that havent been used yet?
there are lawyers playing this game so it does help.
maybe if you guys would be more transparent,
people wouldn’t sort to seek for hidden datas and stuff.
or like, lack of guides and stuff.
as it goes for leaks part,
as much i have no sympathy for leakers,
i can see why they would do that to keep people interested in these gray and stale days. and they clearly did a better job than some people.
but i digress.
As I understand it, a group of people gained access to the alpha servers of the developers and they were eliminated for this.
With such a warning, this is directed at commanders who have been attempting to access closed servers for the game, as is stated in the post.
Players using the mod editor itself are not affected.
probably not.
considering that they did banned @Bazsi37 for simply cross checking versions and keeping templates up to date. ( allegedly )
no one is safe.
remember that.
as if DF couldn’t do any worse.
it really shows how much how clownery is going around.
Press F for the modder Bazsi37 we have lost today…
The devs just banned one of the best modders they got. Its so stupid
