Flamethrowers against tanks

Hello comrades!

Do flamethrowers damage tanks already? I think it would be great to jump on top of a tank and empty the entire tank of fuel into an enemys tanks engine or exhaust. It could put a fire in the engine or make the tank stop moving. What do you think?

I thought they already did that (?)
Flamethrowers can blinded tanker and set fire to the engine

When I tested it, flamethrower couldn’t damage tank in any way. I haven’t seen any patchnotes about this so I suspect it still doesn’t work.
Shame.

I’d have to find a way to test but I am almost certain if you flame the engine deck you damage the tank.

in fact the only “damage” you can do to a tank with a flamethrower is to destroy the engine but nothing else.

died few times due to tank being inflames, not sure was it flamethrower / molotov. But didnt take any hits from opponents tanks / AT guns so I suspect it was either flamethrower / molo.

Work, but very bad.

Nope. I’ve tried this multiple times (as it’s an obvious weakspot for this weapon) back then and it didn’t work. But molotov made engine burn instantly.

Was that before or after the buff? It’s been a while since I’ve tried myself so.

Before. Give me 5min and I’ll test it now.

But not all tanks.
Few good,few not(stuart bad burn).

On practise range non of tanks were damaged. (Normandy US tanks.)

Okay good to know.

Flames slowly damage the engine

Blind the tank so you can dynamite it. That’s my strat and it’s highly effective and thoroughly rewarding :firecracker:

Tried it today, 100% work for blinding. For engine deck, depend on tank.

Some of them you need to cook a little longer than medium-rare, ideally well done. After you hear a breaking sound, wait a little bit, if something may come out, you can slide it to pieces. Then pepper them to make sure of an explosive flavor. BTW, what are we talking about again?

Damn that does sounds yummy :smiling_imp:

Pretty sure if the tank is on fire at all then the crew inside do suffer damage as well
