Flamethrower and machine gun

This forum, unlike in CBT, have too many spoiled new players keeping complaining about everything is “OP” only because they even haven’t unlocked semi-auto. If you think Flamethrower and MGs are OP, then planes are star destroyers. Many times in invasion maps I can kill 250+ with my 3 plane slots like this.

Flamethrowers have limited range, longer TTK than SMGs or LMGs, can get shot by the people they set on fire, can kill yourself with it, draw extreme attention from any AI in a 50m radius and blind your own view when used. In no way, shape or form are they overpowered.

Flametrowers are probably the worst weapon in the game. You clearly haven’t unlocked it yet.
Low range, easy to kill yourself and your teammates, don’t ricochet from the walls so you can’t pour fuel into the bunkers without clear line of sight. AI agro on you imideately and you alert all enemies about you presence.
Grind a bit, unlock it and try to complete “Kill 50 enemy with flamethrower” challenge.

I’m happy if they work for someones playstyle but I highly doubt it.

I actually have unlocked. I killed someone, I also killed myself. I clearly have unlocked.

Well. Then GLHF trying to get ridd off the MGs on D-Day without those stupid snipers.

? Snipers destroying MGs don’t fit into the category I described. They contribute to the victory.
Guys I described don’t contribute to nothing except their K/D.

I wouldn’t consider flamethrowers overpowered as they are pretty situational they actually seem to be pretty well balanced.

As for the LMG’s i wouldn’t really consider them overpowered either as its already pretty easy to kill people with every other weapon in the game. Besides its not like you can always play as a guy with an LMG you have a limited amount of soldiers that can equip them.

My advice stop complaining about things being “overpowered” when they are quite simply not.

Also perhaps come up with abit more in your post than just “They are all overpowered. They can’t give an unfair advantage.”

Yeah I would tend to agree. FTs are very situational, and with the recent range / effects adjustments they feel quite appropriate. Ppl should fear them. Limiting these to two per squad is a reasonable outcome.

LMGs should be very powerful, that’s what they’re there for within the context of the squad. The Germans were the only ones to use two LMGs per squad doctrinally.
IF they wanted to give the Germans a historical leg up then they could allow for 2, but given that this is unbalanced by the fact that there are no constraints on semi automatics or other novelty weapons, which the German players can equip their troops with anyway, the historical PzGren concept just doesn’t make sense.

I would get rid of the premium LMG squads all together and limit all MG squads to a max of 2 LMG.
