Fix vehicle physic on shallow water

long story short,

i’m sure this has been reported from time to time, but it sure is still prelevant and annoying.

i find it very odd and kinda annoying having to traverse shallow waters with ground vehicles.
because you’re going at a steady speed, yet 2 inches of water almost completely stops your vehicle dead in it’s tracks.

it’s kinda like csgo, when you take damage you get slowed down for whatever reason.
some sort of kinetic bullets or what have you.

and in enlisted, something similar happens and the most egregious case:

a bike or cars that does 60khm drastically lowers to 10 in shallow waters.

tanks don’t typically have this issues so, for the most part, they are fine.
but bikes ( as much as cars or trucks ) however.

which on many maps this can be an issue. like gavutu, georgia, many moscow maps, Rzhev for the DAM areas, and few others.

Examples

but i’m sure you know what i’m talking about

and the issue with is, is that you’ll lose both speed and momentum trying to cross a damn river.

i’m not a physician, or a scientist. but unless the vehicle is fully summerged, i don’t expect them to normally slow down exponentially:

( don’t try it at home kids :upside_down_face: )

anyway, in enlisted the issue is, both a time of loss, and due to the speed, being able to be picked off quite easily as being an easy target that moves like an elephant.

which yes, i, as much to the next person, could simply avoid waters. but most of the time bridges are a dead sentence because 7 times out of 10, someone will be there watching it.

Literally had the same experience yesterday, lol. Didn’t expect to see it here so soon.

Thanks for great suggestion, Erika.

imo I think it’s more videogame logic in action here, if X (X can be a player or ground vehicle used by the players) touch a sufficient big water body it slows down , because water in videogame usually does this, slow you down, now it’s stupid yes kinda but it’s how videogame works

except, that doesn’t happen to tanks?

I think this is because their weight and horsepower are higher than light vehicles
in addition
It can also be said that light vehicles are more likely to be affected by the mud at the bottom in shallow water areas.

Or—and I might be going out on a limb here—that’s just the way they programmed it.

A similiar suggestion have been forwarded in the RU side the topic is now close
