Faction Specific Squad Commands

It is important to maintain balance in Enlisted, but doing so has the unfortunate effect of degrading the feeling of uniqueness between the factions. I believe the following suggestions for faction-specific squad commands would not only bring back some of that feeling of uniqueness, but also expand the viability of Enlisted’s squad commands mechanic.

For the USSR:
URAAA!

Duration: 20sec
Cooldown: 120sec
Effect: Immediately grants the squad +80% aim stability after taking damage, immunity to headshake from explosions and concussion, +20% run speed, and full effects of Flask use.
Let nothing stop the RED WAVE! URAAA!

For Allies:
Dig In!
Screenshot 2025-06-01 043351
Duration: 30sec/Contextual
Cooldown: 120sec
Effect: Immediately grants engineers in the squad +50% build speed and +40% construction resources. Squad members spread out and adopt a defensive posture, taking any available cover in the contextual vicinity and/or digging a shallow fighting position in open terrain.
Make them pay for every meter of ground they take!

For Germany:
Desperate Defense

Duration: 20sec
Cooldown: 120sec
Effect: Immediately grants the squad +100% time in downed state, greater chance of entering downed state on lethal damage, +75% medpack usage speed, and +200% medpack health restore. Soldiers with an empty secondary weapon slot gain a single Panzerfaust 100 (remains beyond buff effect duration)
For the Fatherland!

For Japan:
Banzai!
Banzai!
Duration: 20sec/Contextual
Cooldown: 90sec
Effect: Immediately grants the squad +15% sprint speed, +20% run speed, +100% melee damage, +20% melee attack speed, and full effects of Flask use. Squad members use shin-gunto, katana, or bayonet (run check with priority list of shin-gunto, katana, bayonet, knife, shovel in that order) to charge the contextual location and engage enemies in melee.
For the Emperor!

It’s not perfect, and balance should remain the priority as always. But it would be incredibly cool to see some 9 man infantry squads Banzai charge through a smokescreen to take an objective full of well dug in Allied soldiers.
Feel free to leave some suggestions of your own for faction-specific commands like these in the replies!

interesting concepts

I would love this. I think the Devs should embrace Asymetric balance and give up on the idea of having 100% parity which has led us to things like SF rifles and ofenrhor for everyone and fantasy weapons and vehicles

The sad part is that I think an asymmetric balance was the idea in the beginning. But years of balance complaints and demand for new content, plus the very real lack of content that was actually used in WW2 has created what we have now. I really don’t know what the devs were supposed to do. Leaving the content saturation low to keep up realism may not have worked. Who knows?

Ofenrohr is a whole other thing though, that should not have happened in the first place. No reason for it. Options existed for the factions, giving everyone a “stolen” ofenrohr was just “we can’t be bothered” laziness.

I love the concepts, I would love to see a similar system in game. Thought I think all the abilities need fleshing out and balancing.

For example, the resources added by the allied ability, do they stick around forever? Or are those resources gone after 30 seconds?

I think the abilities might be better to have both a negative and positive bonus to them, so for example, the banzai charge ability, perhaps that might reduce medkit speed to simulate the lack of medics in such a charge?

Or the soviet one maybe increases vertical and horizontal recoil?

Another thing I would add is that maybe it could effect how the AI acts as well in this period, where say for digging in, bots become 5% more accurate,

Or for the Germans, They become 5% more aggressive

etc, etc.

But overall I love the concept and would love to see it iterated upon.

yeah after a lot of coping the USA got the anm2 stinger, t20 rifle, etc because germany cant keep their battle rifles and high rof machine guns to themselves

Controversial opinion, but the stinger was a good addition, but yeah the T20 just was too much.

idk what’s wrong with T20, it’s just a fair counterpart even betore FG42’s damage buff

the anm2 stinger cant even hold 200 rounds. Darkflow won’t correct that error though

It was fine as a gold order weapon, but the USA was quite effective being able to use the m2 carbine on riflemen to make 9 man assaulter squads

The point is, nobody can tolerate asymmetrical balance

so the other three get a benefit that works on every class but the allies get a buff to engineers where is the buff to defense for taking cover.

Yeah, adding the immunity to headshake and concussion to that one would probably be good.

you could just add something like this to the “I” key

pressing “I” makes everyone do battlecry (I Think its “I” key)…adding another buff effect could be cool

I feel like the german one should be more offensive, Lightning war for example (or Blitzkreig, not that they called it that)

The battle for Italy | National Army Museum

A roman Mile

There are so many things that needs to be fixed , like names of the gun for instance Japanese designation for Bergman submarine gun was Type BE yet in game its called Bergman M1920 , scopes for japan are wrong they are using German croshair and so on devs dont prioritize these things as it seems or rarely do get on top of them , you can see somtimes the fix stuff fast while others are left to eat dust (You should be very familiar with it as it took them way long to fix G41(M))

As for the topic I love the idea but I feel like it makes the game a little bit complicated, not a complaint though .

Honestly a really interesting and novel suggestion. I think it offers a unique asymmetric gameplay factor that could be really really interesting! Perhaps a system like this combined with a class of soldier like “officers” or something else would be an appropriate means of implementing such a new mechanic. Either way it’s certainly an interesting proposition, plus if one was able to hear these lines and other such similar commanding verbiage, whether friend or foe, it’d certainly add a new layer of immersion to the game, in my opinion.
