I highly doubt a single soldier can do same damage to enemy team with 1 single detpack as 1 single tank can do to enemy team. Especiatly from otherside of map like tanks do.
And as already stated, IF the tanks get hard capped. Then the specific AT squad would be fine.
You see thats where i donât agree, Iâve had games where i as infantry have killed over 200 soldiers in Lone fighter, and destroyed close to 30 tanks.
I never claimed they are OP. Infact I think they are currently right at where they should be.
In right hands they are deadly and has a massive impact to the game as tanks should BUT at the same time they aint invulnerable sealclubbers like planes.
They are exactly perfectly balanced currently high reward with manageable risk.
With few exceptions in certain maps where they can sit at greyzone, but thats a map flaw not tank.
If you decrease the amount of AT weaponry aka decrease potent threat against tanks it does significantly increase the survivality of tanks.
Theres a massive differency between every soldier being capable to destroy a tank and 1 certain squad being able to destroy tank.
Greatly reducing the availablity of anti-tank capable weapons increases the survivability of tanks. This is not a logically disputable point. However, as this argument is not a logical one I am no longer interested in debating it further.
My conclusion stands. All infantry should have access to det packs as it is the only effective way to counter tanks for the vast majority of infantry squads.
This only works if multiple enemies are in the same room and can be easily done with a T-34 HE shell. Also the latter works way better than a TNT in open areas.
again why reduce it effectiveness against infantry
if a det pack blew up in your face like kanortex stated thats almost 1 kilo of gun power you probably wouldnât survive just saying.
it currently can has a kill radius of like ten meters lmao.
with no fragmentation youre looking at blast energy/pressure to kill. In open terrain thatâs going to be even less effective. Thrown into confined spaces like bunkers, houses it should absolutely nuke the room.
There is not a single reason to run normal grenades in any class.
Tnt packs are way more versatile.
I would like to see them only on engineers and bombers. And rest of soldiers could only equip frags and smokes.
Or, if wey still want to use a tnt pack on normal soldiers , a grenade backpack needed to be equiped, so we can have a tradeoff. Either more ammo, more health packs or a tnt pack.
