Lone Fighter is like ordering pepperoni in a specialty pizza shop.
Why even go to a specialty shop when literally every other pizza place can serve you pepperoni?

I have only been playing for about 1 week now and I like the squad concept. However it appears half the players seem to run around individually playing Rambos. I say this because most of the time it is an individual that kills me, no squad present. So there must be away of playing solo which these people take advantage of. If they can play solo then it defeats the purpose of squad play and changes the whole game. There I am with 6 buddies and I’m being killed by 10 single Rambo’s all playing solo.
If it is squad based then let it be squad only until you use up your deaths. Having a squad is harder than playing solo and makes it easy for solo players to gain stats!
They aren’t “Playing solo”. They drop with a squad, and either their squad is lagging behind them, dead, or ordered to hang back. In practice, I tend to find going out of your way to keep your squad away from the fighting and in safety isn’t actually worth it, because your squad makes it harder to sneak up on you, helps you keep fighting longer, and disguises where the threat, IE you, is. By keeping them back you avoid needing to respawn for longer, but you have to get back into position after every soldier death, instead of the usual 2-3 swaps you can manage before your squad is wiped. It is however a popular tactic for those who favor KDA over well, actually getting things done. They aren’t “Playing solo”. As for the op, gods no. Lone fighter mode is bleh, and removes the main reason I like playing this game, which is the ability to spend the vast majority of your play time actually in the action and fighting, instead of respawning and walking back to the front. If you like lone fighters knock yourself out, but I sure as heck ain’t joining you.
Why would you even excavate this dinosaur thread?
By now I almost forgot that LF even exists… what a nice feeling it is… well,… was.
if i wanted to play one character with a predefined loadout in a team deathmatch style gauntlet where one weapon reigns supreme, i’d play call of duty.
