yes, I’m talking about system.
No it was in response to something you had said. So that would then make what you said not related?
Am I not allowed to respond to other people but the OP in topics now? I’m trying to understand this sudden nitpicking. 3 times by you alone on me.
My posts are not fluff, when I respond. Its factual information.
As for the OP , I am not sure where or when he plays but I do not encounter the amount of snipers he does, basically ever.
I see lots of complaints, but no personal experiences myself.
If I had to surmise why some people might snipe more, it could be because 1) everyone in Pacific stars with that squad, so it has to be cycled through upon death of your other squad 2) people don’t want to run to a point hammered by multiple AA guns / arty / other spam
Either of those is not a sniper problem but a core problem that is creating this effect.
Ever hear of context?
Your reply took my comment completely out of the context of its response to the OP.
Absolutely I have. Your exact statement was they are not good at pushing a point.
I countered with the fact you can make them into a hybrid force that can engage from range and push up close.
It all comes down to how you equip them.
So what was the context then? What did you mean exactly when you said " Not good at pushing a point ".
I’d really like to know.
Read the thread
I have.
And if you read what I wrote its to help dispel the linear thinking so many people have on what Snipers can actually do.
I posted to state , in response to you, that you can use them to push if equipped effectively.
People roll the squad with the simple notion that it needs to be far back and unengaged from direct contact.
I merely stated that equipped correctly they can be so much more.
He has a problem, this is informative to all that read that there is indeed a better way to play them. A more aggressive way.
If people pushed with snipers in support of their team properly the complaints would potentially be far less.
Further to that I added some of what ails the game related to their deployment.
So again, please tell me where I didn’t read what you wrote and what it actually means instead of deflecting to some psudeo meaning that is not apparent.
Pseudo-assaulters aren’t what anyone was referring to by any stretch of the imagination, that’s retarded.
Saying “well what if I make a sniper not a sniper anymore” makes no sense for the discussion, just like saying assaulters are good at long range because they can carry reserve bolt actions.
Its not making a sniper not a sniper anymore. It’s making a sniper into something that can push the objective. Which you said they can’t do.
Its actually god forbid, thinking outside the damn box that people like to get stuck into with linear thinking.
Something that is obviously not frequently considered. Given the OPs complaints.
People stuck in the mindset of one role, one job.
Yet the game design allows us to configure things to be multi purpose.
I’ve seen Assaulters use combo sets of weapons as well (Shots and Longer range Smgs). Its a nice outside the box solution.
Anywho, you obviously have an axe to grind. So ill step out of this one.
I’ve said my peace on what could potentially be a root cause and perhaps given some other readers pause into thinking , they don’t always have to be static and fixed while sharpshooting.
The complaint is about the role, not the class.
Very rarely are these complaints class related rather than referring to what classes tend to do.
Exactly. And my post showed there is another way.
