They could have done it in a much better way, but they chose the worst way to do it.
Either give us the ability to change perks ourselves,

Just preset the soldiers with at least somewhat decent perks. Pretty sure someone in the team knows what proper perks are. And if not, they could have asked.
I don’t think anyone finds slow soldiers with no stamina regen to be fun.
Weapon wise, the soviets should not have access to the federov rifle, since it’s just too good.
And because of the SVT 38 superiority , japan should have received higher br SMG’s / MG’s to compensate. Type 4 just feels bad to shoot.

It’s not about that. It’s about having fun. Mobility can be appreciated by everyone, not just meta players. Tell me who loves to move super slow and lose his stamina after a few steps ? This is not a sim game .
But even more than that , why gimp yourself with bad vertical recoil ? Do you or anyone else enjoy struggling to hit people ?
Since you didn’t add matchmaking delay for this event despite giving us desertion penalties in normal games… ill just leave until i get soviets like i wanted.
(I would feel honored if you did after making this comment mind you)

1 Pro Point: Finally, a different nation against another — now that the game has lost all historical accuracy, they might as well do Germany vs. Japan and the U.S. vs. Russia to at least break the monotony.
Cons:

Extremely unbalanced matches where one team easily wipes out the other.

No new maps: They basically added the Pacific maps and removed the European ones. The most annoying thing about this game is the lack of map variety.

The grind has been increased insanely — 12k per day is a recipe for player burnout.

You’re forced to complete all 12 stages consecutively with no room for error.

Poor paid system: 25% bonus points and a nickname decorator are not worth 900 Gold.

No customization of squads in terms of perks and weapons.

Brillant event idea!!! Honestly battles with presets like these may be the simplest solution for historical accuracy mode (yes i realise there is a Japanese Tiger in there, i’m not a fan, but it can be corrected in the future). It can make for a balanced gamemode with period accurate gear and most importantly uncommon wepons being actually uncommon. Looking forward for more experimentation like that

I suppose i could clarify… unlike the past PVE events we’ve had there was a matchmaking delay except not for the PVP one, weird.
And since they introduced it ive played with the -20% 24/7 anyway so its not of concern to me
So why does no 6 Tiger doesn’t have it’s top MG? Looks like lazy WT ported vehicle that was also missing it’s MG. Also why are smoke launchers not working?

few thousand not bad for a lmg paratrooper weapon
a few thousand not anymore fit for a riflemen class then a dozen
Pretty sure that’s not a mg but a open hatch
But I think It is still lacking, as for example in the event art it has a track on the turret roof and railings behind the coupla like other Japanese tanks:

THIS! I was quite disappointed when I noticed that the one in-game does not have the tracks or the decal, they should add those tbh, could you consider this @Euthymia07-live ? It would make it much more unique and cool looking

The more i’m playing the event the more i hate it. Tanks are beyond worthless with everyone carrying fausts. And you can’t do many kills with garbage infantry loadouts (especially JP) so grind takes way longer than usual events.
