Works fine while bursting and for long range you better use bolt rifle or semis
Obviously, as anything that’s RNG based is not fun, just frustrating.

Alright, I took the time to study this matter, turns out that there was some thought behind the extremely “not well structured” post you just made.
The M1928A1 is arguably very similar to the Tokyo Arsenal smg and the Kiraly, so I get the point, it would be fair to lower its BR.
Just a recommendation, if you want to be taken seriously address the matter properly, don’t you just randomly start a complaint by quoting the literal best smg and then at the bottom of the post saying what you did meant to say in the first place.

I play BR4 Soviet Thompson (literally copy paste to American one).
And it’s far from being garbage.
Is it best BR4 smg? No. But it’s not like every weapon can be meta (as long as you want every weapon to be actually different).

One last comment, understand that in an asymmetrical balance game you won’t always have the upper hand, at some point some one else has to get fun too, by this I mean, Burgers have the best smg at BR 2 by FAR and this weapon while may not still be the best at upper BRs it is still pretty good, Germany lacks good smgs, yes they are accurate, yes they are controllable, but they do lack damage most of the time, yes they are playable, but outperformed on the smg niche by pretty much every faction.
Does this mean that every german SMG should be buffed? Not really, could they use a buff? Of course, do german players have other choices? 100% they can rely more on their MGs which do the job with maybe more dispersion while standing but, it can be handled (sometimes).

My point is the Thompson should not be the main smg from br2 to 5 it’s a good gun but not good enough to be the end all, if it doesn’t as a option it be great an option.
Well, seeing that they already have several level two Thompson premium squads along with Thompson BP smg’s, all of which I own. The BP BSA Thompson 1929 level two, BP level two Hyde 35’s, which might as well be Thompson’s. So, I have three level two Thompson squads, which does not include any M1A1 Thompson’s, a UD M42 squad along with the Liu Rifle squad. Since they dropped the M1A1 down to level two, I did equip my Lanchester squad with M1A1’s now. So, at least for me it makes no difference where they designate the M1A1, and I imagine a lot of others have the same BP weapons and premium squads I do.
Add to that the fact that the Premium Allied Rider squad, which was dropped from level two to level one are carrying Thompsons. 
So now we have Thompsons in level one. BTW, I don’t own that squad since I really don’t care for the rider class. But I think at this point Thompsons are part of level two now and I doubt that will change. Hell, I can’t win at level two with my Allies anyway, so I don’t even play with them much anymore.
As far as level four? It has become irrelevant now so it might as well just be dissolved and its weapons be moved to level three or level five, just my opinion anyway unless DF would make level four and level five stand alone BR ratings.
